The LSU board of supervisors will vote Friday on whether or not to name the court at the PMAC "Dale Brown Court" after the former men's basketball coach. Per The Advocate:
quote:

The LSU board of supervisors will vote Friday on naming the basketball court inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center after former men's basketball coach Dale Brown.

A proposal listed on the board of supervisors' agenda, if approved, will apply "Dale Brown Court" to the floor for both men's and women's basketball games.
The public reaction to the proposal has been mixed. Where do you stand? Should they name the court "Dale Brown Court?"

Notice all the unhappy faces sitting around him? He’s partly the reason. No.

No but it’s obviously a done deal or it would be on the public agenda. Why ask for opinion now?

I was there from 90-94. No fricking way. Maybe name a recruiting center after him but he was a horrible coach.

No. At least not until he’s dead and we’re sure no seedy revelations about his character come to light.

No, he was before my time but his black balling and leaking current ongoings of LSU staff to media irks me and he needs to keep his nose out. Screw him.

I liked Dale during his time leading the team. Since then, though, he hasn’t done the program any favors. To me John Brady deserves some recognition for his success as coach at LSU before Dale does. Just me talkin though.

Dickie Dale Vitale Brown Court. Maybe that would stick. Seriously though. I'm not sure I believe any of the rumors that he's been an informant or against Will Wade. If in any way shape or form, he and Will Wade do not have mutual respect for each other, then it should not happen. Heck, we have two (M/W) powerhouse coaches right now, who will surpass anything Dale has done. Maybe this is why it's happening now, because it will never happen after he's surpassed.
