I also staff every USFA tournament in the state of Mississippi with umpires and it gets harder and harder to staff these tournaments because no one wants to listen to the verbal abuse and run the risk of what happened to me happening to them.”

If you punch a ref or ump, you need to be in a mental hospital. But refs need to give make up calls when they miss something, instead some of them will make an even worse call on purpose. Just be normal.

Yeah if you chat them up a bit and not act like they are the enemy they will usually be open to make up calls as long as they aren't obvious. It is amazing how human-like they are if you aren't a dick to them
