3-star offensive lineman Tope Imade from Arlington, Texas accepted a challenge from his coach and went for it. Shortly after Imade set the Bowie High School deadlift record by picking up 515 pounds. Check it out...

quote:

"My coach kept challenging me to add more weight. He kept adding, and I kept lifting," Imade said. "Eventually, it got to 515, and I got it up.

"It was heavy, but I had my teammates there encouraging me."

Squats are good for your whole legs, lower back, glutes, abs, and generally EVERYTHING below your shoulders. I've never really figured out why the dead lift is so great.

dead lift if fricking stupid. the body is not meant for that shite. that and squats need to be banned from high schools. somebody should educate his coach so maybe he will stop encouraging that crap

Wow, HS record?? Must be a small school....I did 430 in high school while weighing only 150 lbs. This big guy should be at 650-700 with a year of workouts and training.
