Alabama Offensive Lineman Alphonse Taylor Found Not Guilty Of DUI

AL.com reported earlier on Tuesday that Alabama offensive guard Alphonse Taylor was found not guilty of driving under the influence.

Taylor was arrested in July and charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.

"We are very happy with this ruling and hope that he will now have the opportunity to move forward with his football career," Neff said in a statement released to AL.com.

Coach Nick Saban has not publicly say whether or not Taylor would be suspended for this incident.

Of course. Any player that will have a positive impact on the field somehow miraculously never ends up committing the crime they are arrested for. Then, they go to the NFL and can't stay out of trouble.

After he "left the scene of an accident" was he apprehended and given a field sobriety test and breathalyzer? I would think so if he was charged with DUI. If that's the case, how can he be found not guilty? Oh wait, it's Bizarro World Alternate Reality Gumpland where there are two sets of laws; one for normal civilians and one for Alabama football players..............

Google it. He was given a breathalyzer. The results were the same as some of the IQ levels in this thread.

I was pulled over and given a breathalyzer once. I hadn't been drinking that night. I blew sober, but the cop took me to jail anyway because he didn't like that I was giving him an attitude (he kept giving me the breathalyzer test over and over like the results were going to change). When we got to jail, he did not allow me to take the test a second time at the jail. I did not know that was the one that counts in court. I got youthful offender status for my DUI, but I never should have had to pay or do anything. Police officers are given far too much leeway with DUI charges, precisely because of people like you.
