No less than 78% of NBA and mlb and nhl players can single rep squat 300
Remember NBA player volume is low

There is a YouTube video of him benching 315 and its from 2010

Assuming he does more than bench, I bet he can squat 300

That was a joke video. He had spotters, behind and on side of hime.

so I'm guessing anyone squating over 300 lbs should be able to dunk a basketball?

The average standing reach and vert of an NBA PG is 8'2" and 35", respectively

Most NBA players can dunk regardless

I'd say 100% of those squatting 300 can dunk

being able to dunk is hereditary

If you are 5'8 to 5'10 weigh less than 225 lbs and claim to squat 300 plus then you should be able to dunk a 10 ft goal, with relative ease.

Did you actually watch that video? Durants scrawny little arms would crumble if he had to support 315 in the bench, much less actually bench it. I think people make professional athletes out to be Gods too much.

Here's Alex Gordon working out and half squatting 275. He's a great athlete and I would have assumed he would be way over the 300 lb threshold, but from this vid, there's no way, not with proper form and arse to grass. LINK

Most people here saying what they squat probably aren't getting low enough and have shite form.

oh i have no doubt. People have shite mobility from sitting around all day, or think they are going low enough when most of the time they arent even close.

That Alex Gordon squat was turrible. So vertical.

Yea, it is. And he's a great professional athlete. I think people just assume too much when it comes to these guys. They no doubt put in a ton of hard work, but a lot of these guys just have talent. Which leads to the point of the thread, that squatting 300 is not that easy. Yes, it is for those of us that have been doing powerlifting specific movements for awhile, but not for the average joe and certainly not for whomever claimed that they think 75% of people can just walk into a gym with no lifting experience and squat 300, whoever the hell said that.

I am 5'10 and was in high school and back then I could squat over 400 and couldn't even touch the rim. Right now I still can not touch the rim. And I have an above average vertical.

Some of the shite yall say is laughable.

I'm sorry bro, if you're 5'10 with an above average vertical and can squat 400 lbs you should be able to touch the rim.

i am very close but still an inch or so below it. I only squat 350 now as I had surgery last year and couldnt even lift the bar when I started back.

Sorry to tell you but Squat strength does not correlate to vertical. vertical is explosive strength. different muscle fibers.
