Every major city is diverse, that's not saying much.
Houston has BBQ , a rodeo, and Mexicans. None of that is exclusive to Houston .

Another thing about going from Louisiana to "Houston" to buy a car. The dealers know why you're there. They already know you think you're going to a great deal, so they use that in their favor.
They'll search prices in your area, then offer you a slightly better deal to keep you in the seat. ...

It's about volume in Houston and Dallas, they can take less, because right after you leave 4 more are walking in the door .
I recently bought a vehicle and the truck prices were better in Houston than in Louisiana, but not as much as I thought.
