I imagine it's a bunch of canucks that all take one or two big trips a year for road games and they chose nola this year.

That's probably exactly what happened.

Canadian sports fans are better than American sports fans in general. This is true across the board. I think the Blue Jays back in the day are the ultimate case study. Baseball is secondary in Canada at best and the Blue Jays fans blew MLB fans out of the water when they were competitive. Even when the Blue Jays were semi-relevant: Remember the Jose Bautista homer vs. the Rangers in the division series?

It is, indeed, holdovers from Mardi Gras. The Quarter is still packed with tourists.

Played with a few Canadians at Harrahs during the week. So maybe they stayed over.

Couldn’t make the game last night but have been to a few raptors games over the years and they’ve always had a decent fan showing which i found weird.

A couple years ago a met a group of Raptors fans that were in town for the Raptors/Pelicans (might have still been Hornets) game on MLK day. They told me they make one or two away games every year. I ended up spotted them out in the arena. They were sitting right behind Toronto's bench. Super nice fellas.
