Thoughts on Nike Free x Metcons?

Nike has combined 2 of their most popular shoes into one.

I’ve owned the Free in the past and currently lift in Metcon 3’s. I find myself switching out of the Metcon’s in to Ultraboost if I’m going to run sprints or any other type of running cardio. These shoes may eliminate that.
Thoughts?

This is so upsetting. I just got new Metcon 4's for my birthday like a month ago. I wish these would have been out then because they are so damn cool. The white with neon siding is

i have the metcon 3s. I love them but i hate shooting basketball with them after i workout. these will be amazing for me

I have the Nanos and have the same problem. I've landed awkwardly on my heel a few times and have tweaked my back due to their super stiff heel.
I might give these a serious look, since like you, I like to play basketball after or before lifting a lot.

I'm curious to know how the foot support is for lifts. Before I did a lot of olympic lifting these would have been perfect. Love the style.

You guys should really consider different shoes for "working out." Those are terrible for squats, deadlifts, overhead press...

I'm not lifting super heavy and the Nanos have a really stiff heel

I hear you. I don't have true lifting shoes. I lift in some flat Puma's or Chucks. My real preference is in socks but people get weirded out.

I lift in metcon 4s and run in Frees. Combining these just gave me wood.

They’re really fairly priced so I may just say F it and try em out.
May keep the Metcon 3’s in the bag for heavy squat/deadlift days.

I have some Metcon 3’s that I really like. I would need to crew socks bc of that tongue on the shoe. Looks like it may be irritating.

I’m not sure which came first, but either Nike ripped off New Balance or vice versa. Those New Balance look almost identical to Metcons.

I literally just ordered some Nanos off amazon yesterday. Just canceled them and bought some of these

i like them but dey spensive
have some metcons from a few series ago that need to be replaced but I can't find a shoe I like as much and am willing to pay for.

The reason I am interested is, even short runs in my Inov-8s suck bad.

Just ordered a pair of Metcon X. I had been eyeing the Metcon 4's for awhile now but when I saw these available I bit the bullet. I'll report back after a week of use, mixing in squats, deadlift, and some variations of olympic lifts.
