Been chirping him all night. Calling him a traitor. Happy for his continued revenge.

Paul was messing with the LSU players on the field that entire review. Especially Milam. He still loves him some LSU

Jay clearly wasn’t happy with the slide sign given. He came out the dugout and told Jordan to make a more animated slide signal.
He was just squatted watching the play. Didn’t make any indication
I’m at the game, that indeed was Jay. Half way out to third base

Looks like Snap Count to me, but I could be wrong
I live in Columbia, there’s not too many hotels in the 5 points area. The Vista downtown would be one spot that would be walking distance/around some good bars and restaurants. Otherwise, I’d say hit up the hotels on the outskirts of town and Uber to the bar scene.

Traffic to and from the big games is nightmarish. Plan to leave early and stay late if you want to avoid it. And unfortunately not much in way of bars around the stadium. Mostly tailgating. If you can get one of the train cars they supposedly are nice.
Friend of mine worked with Andre and raves about his character and football instinct. Speaks of him as one of the best fb players off the field he’s ever gotten to work with. Watch the video below and it might give a better idea why he’s followed Guidry from a comfortability factor and the obstacles he’s overcome.

Dr Dugas in Bham? He’s awesome. Love that he’s the WWE team doc

Like I said, LSU is usually pretty on top of new surgeries and I wish I knew more of the new TJ procedure which is 6-8 months recovery, I think. Very interested to see what path Taylor takes.

New surgery is called an Internal brace UCL surgery. Uses an internal collagen “brace” to repair existing torn ligaments rather than using a tendon from typically the forearm or hamstring to use as the graft. Usually this tendon has to then go through a long process to essentially transform from tendon properties (stretchy and more dynamic) to ligament properties (sturdy and more stabilizing). In the new surgery, it’s ligament put in a brace to heal on its own, with support. Obviously more complex than that, but that’s the gist.

So far has had pretty good outcomes, but not every tear is a candidate. Depends on how much of the ligament is intact and usable. Still the timetable is determined by the rehab and how well he strengthens after the surgery. Which is typically why people gain velocity after Tommy John.

Reports that Mullen has been seen in Columbia, SC tonight

That’s false. You would get less practice time with an earlier bowl game.

Correct. I work for a CFB team that consistently goes to early bowl games. One year we had a Dec 16th game and only got 7 true practices in because you can’t start bowl practices until after Conf. Championships are over, unless you’re participating in the championship game.

COVID year we did 4 practices with how late everything was pushed back. Treated it like a reg. Season game.

No, NCAA rosters are capped at 105: 85 Scholarship plus 20 PWO (preferred Walk ons).

This is true for preseason fall camp, but once classes start, rosters can be expanded to up to 125. The final number they take on for the season is usually determined by their “title IX” number allowed.

Why throw your fourth starting pitcher up 15? If you lose he is needed to win this tourney. It’s like Maineri puts zero thought in his coaching decisions.

Could be going 1 inning and used as his “bullpen” day and still be available for a game 4 but also guarantees he gets some work this weekend.

Ryan Schimpf first hit!

One of my favorite baseball Tigers. Just lined a double in first AB with the Padres. They just announced he led all of minors in OPS.

ETA: Just hit in to score

re: DJ LeMahieu killing it in Denver!

Posted by TGR2012 on 4/13/15 at 11:40 am to
As a Rockies fan I'm very optimistic about DJ this year. He will have a good amount of runs as he is hitting in the 9 hole, behind the pitcher, so essentially he is hitting 2nd lead-off. Meanwhile, he's followed in the line-up by a good hitting Charlie Blackmon, a resurging Carlos Gonzales and then Tulo. If the Rockies stay healthy, DJ could be looking at a chance at the NL All-Star team spot and a consecutive Gold Glove

re: Jack Marucci?

Negative. He is the Director of Athletic Training. He began making wooden bats for his son when he was playing little league, who ironically plays for U of Houston and eventually grew it into the company it is today. I believe he took a backseat in the management in the company and let the other guys take over.
I'd just have to say thats the beauty of technology. Recruiting is completely different than even ten years ago with social media the combines. Coaches can spread a wide, personal touch to guys that you really wouldn't have seen before.

Doesn't hurt LSU has gained a ton of national prominence since the "golden age" has started. Kids that were young watching LSU in 2003, 2007 in the national championships are growing into prospects. Thats why we are getting guys coming to us from obscure places like OKC and New Jersey.

re: The UA AA game.

Can someone remind me how they do rosters? Are they both east/west? Usually I like the Army AA bowl, but looking at the rosters the UA game looks to be stacked. Imagine Harris handing of to LF, throwing to Dupre and Speedy, with Brumfield and Cam blocking. I wouldn't mind watching that for 3-4 years.

SO I guess the conversation in the Brewers office went something like this...
"Hey let's draft this guy with no leg so he can come play single A ball for us"

Not to call you out but the draft was three weeks before his car crash. Also, he went in the 50th round at pick# 1509... Obviously they knew he was going to the nfl. Still, a few tigers who were studs at LSU are still in AA ball 3-4 years after leaving, all of which are more natural baseball players than Jones (Dean-retired, schimpf- might be moving to AAA soon, ochinko- AA, Gibbs- AA). Tough to say how he would do, a few years removed, jumping straight into facing all guys who are professional baseball players. Don't forget, a lot of all conference players are relegated to rookie level and A- ball.

Either way, this guy is one of the most loved tigers, and I'd love to see him back in Louisiana. I will never forget hearing his hit in the Arkansas game and watching Adams' helmet flying. Any thoughts of how he'd fit as a 3-4 lb in the new system?
