Story time. So I went with a girl I had been dating to a John Mayer show at the Wharf in Gulf Shores. She was a crazy John Mayer fan and I was 'meh'. Didn't even own a single song he'd ever recorded. I wasn't expecting much, I knew some of his songs but only the popular ones.

He stood up on that stage, and what spewed forth was some of the most amazing, soulful guitar playing I have ever heard. He was tripping balls I later learned, but I pretty much listened to him make love to his guitar and I would kill to hear it again.

Gravity was a 3 minute song. He added a 10 minute guitar solo that almost (Read: Definitely) made me cry.
If every guitar in the world was playing at the same time. Ten bucks says I could still pick out Eddie Van Halen.

1) Bioshock (I don't even consider this a game. This was Art. Sander Cohen would be proud.)
2) Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (Just one of the most wonderful games I have ever played. Plot and gameplay are superb; truly a timeless classic.)
3) Portal 1&2 (Simply a pair of the best designed games in history. Phenomenal.)
For some unfathomable reason, the syth solo in "Jump" by Van Halen builds so spectacularly to my eardrums, sixteen years later, the final fifteen notes of the synth solo give me goosebumps...
I'm just shocked it's lasted this long. I remember thinking it would obe a great little four season show when it premiered. Now it's double that. I agree with earlier; it has gotten stale.
I probably should really like the Dave Matthews Band and ADELE but...I just can't bring myself to really enjoy their music! My friends always reccomend it to me saying it's right up my alley but...Meh...
!!!! Awesome shirt. Go Whites. That is all.
Gahhh. Such a difficult choice. Both bands literally re-wrote the direction of music...

If I have to call it, I'll go Stones, if only because I find Sympathy for the Devil to be one of the most beautiful pieces of art I have ever heard. Both get a thumbs up.
I really and truly enjoyed all three of the movies. In order to really lay an good argument, I re-watched them all last night and I realized why I think the Dark Knight is the best.

Heath himself said it best during the interrogation scene.
quote:

I don't, I don't want to kill you! What would I do without you? Go back to ripping off mob dealers? No, no, NO! No. You... you... complete me.
That's it, really. I understand how dynamic Rises and Begins are as Batman movies, but the villains are what changes the whole situation.

ALL THREE are phenomenal films. Hands down the best superhero movies to ever be released. However, if we want to see Batman, if we want the movie that BEST personifies the titicular character of these films, we need the movie that shows us the true scope of Batman. Rises came close, but without the Joker, I think a good argument could be made we aren't seeing the real Batman. It's not so much Heath (Though, I must say his portrayal is my favorite villain of all time), Its the Joker's character that makes TDK the best.

...Though hell, I'm so torn cause I wanna just say they're all the best.
Gotta say, I loved Bane's portrayal. There was only one flaw. Bane's from the Carribean, he's not British, and most CERTAINLY shouldn't speak like a brit.
Hmm...Gonna have to say Adventure Time and Regular Show are great. Just an observation. Virtually anything that's not animated on the Disney channel, however, is awful.

I actually thought Fox was going to bite the bullet for a bit there.

I would have lost it. I was worried too, sitting in my seat just thinking, 'Oh dear God. Can Morgan Freeman swim? Will he walk on water?'.

As a whole though, I agree with everyone's review. The ONLY thing that slightly dissapointed me in this movie was Bane spends two and a half hours asserting himself as the 'big bad' of the film (And doing a damn fine job of it), and then boom! Thalia is all of a sudden the mastermind? I felt Bane got jipped.

John Favreau: Okay, Robert Downey, Jr., be a cocky rich dude. And...action.

^This.

Heard it in a Love Song
Lordie, now there's a blast from the past! Such a great solo!

For me, at least, any song that has an accordion in it, I'm just instantly drawn to it. Not really sure why, but I just love that sound! Like USS Zydacosmobile by Jimmy Buffet. Hate the song, but with the accordion! I could listen to it all day!
Given the gravity of the situation and the sheer number of people who were apparently actively covering up for this horrific scandal, I don't think Mark Emmert would be unreasonable in issuing the death penalty to their program.

re: Deadpool Video Game

When I think Deadpool video game, I get a mix in between Ninja Gaiden and Duke Nukem. Maybe ten years ago, that'd be a pretty decent compliment. Now however, with the bust that was Ninja Gaiden 3 and Duke Nukem:Forever, such a combination wouldn't bode well.

The sane game in me is screaming, "It's gonna be awful."

....The shameful comic fan inside me is giggling like a schoolgirl in anticipation.

Well, that's because it was. The gap between everything from acting quality to directing to writing. Nolan most certainly wasn't the only one to learn from BB. Bale and Holmes both grew exponentially as characters (Though, privately, I STILL think Katie Holmes leaves her rolls flat). That's why I'm extra excited for Rises. While Bale is mentally unstable, he has atleast grown as an actor. I think he'll do a marvelous job...That and Bane is a boss. 'Nuff said.

Chiddy Bang - Breakfast
Jack White - Blunderbuss
Alabama Shakes - Boys and Girls
The Mars Volta - Noctouriquet
Chiddy Bang - Peanut Butter and Swelly*

*Technically, this is a mix tape, but I simply don't care. It's that good.
