Is it the drama? Really? You know OM will react worse than Tennessee fans did when he left. LK must have everything in place before it’s announced. Pretty much for the safety of his family. They will not be able to return to the university or their home without being harassed by fans.

You can wait all day. Calm your tits. Today is the day, be thankful BK left and we still have the privilege of even being considered as a top destination in college football.

He left Tennessee to win championships at USC. They got penalized and he never got a legitimate chance. It’s true he has changed. Everyone changes as they get older, and LK still wants to be one of the best. If anything he’s more focused.

Florida hasn’t been relevant in the modern era of NIL & Transfer portal. Ole Miss is Ole Miss and has never won a NC. LK is the only reason they have been relevant. Not one person here can convince me he doesn’t win a NC at LSU in 6 years…

In the modern era Baton Rouge is the obvious choice, for college football. Especially when he can win at a place Nick wishes he would’ve had a second chance.

You think Alex Bregman would have passed up first round draft money to come play at LSU? He only came here because his draft position dropped due to a broke finger… Zach Lee went to the dodger’s for $5m instead of pitching and playing QB for LSU in 2010. He was on campus taking summer classes until he got drafted. If college baseball is able to compete with the majors and stop high school kids from going to the draft, I don’t see an issue. I honestly don’t understand how that’s bad for college baseball…

A+ with what he was left with. He did great for being his first year in the SEC. At least he didn’t lose out a super regional to Stony Brook for changing the lineup after a win.

Works best when you do it for the extra money not when you need the money. See countless young guys get to where they have to work out of town and need overtime just to pay the bills. Best advice I got when I was coming up is make sure you can live off 40 hours. Don’t buy that $80k truck and $100k camper when you’re making big money. Won’t be able to afford it when you’re at the house.

Also agree with everyone about the wife being the glue. If my wife wasn’t as wonderful as she is with taking care of everything I wouldn’t be able to work on the road. There’s been a few times that it’s been hard on both of us and it really defines trust between a couple. This past Christmas we didn’t even have a tree up because of everything she was juggling while I was gone. But the kids got everything they asked for an a little extra. It’s not a life for everyone, it’s hard on a family.

Couple things to think about. When you are home it’s nothing but quality time with your wife and kids. Most guys that travel forget to focus completely on family when they are home. You get your time alone when you’re gone. It’s easy to get a divorce on the road, stay out of the bar rooms and casinos on school nights. 2-3 days every other week is hardly on the road, almost considered a break from home life. $20k extra a year is a no brainer, depending on the miles put on your vehicle and cost of travel (per diem vs. expensed). Put that $20k in the bank, don’t change your life style just because you got a little money.

Sid is a good Sheriff and a really good person. He cares about the Parish but is limited to his budget.
