Does anybody have an recommendations or any info about places in BR that do some strength, speed, and agility training for girls? Mine have been out of sports for a while and looking for someone to help get them back up to speed so to speak. I've seen some stuff about Elite and Oschner, but don't really know where to start. Thanks!

How old are they?
For little kids I would say just getting them on there feet and more active is the best bang for you buck. Take them to the park and chase them around. Let them run, climb, and jump as just a part of their playing.
Older kids / young teenagers - Just let them play the sports and have a good time. It is more about skill and coordination development at that age.
older teenagers / competitive teams - Then yeah I could see getting them some extra coaching if they want to increase their level of play.
You could look up Matt Bruce (Bruce Barbell). I think he runs a website called the Moffitt Method. Trained Olympic lifting under Gayle Hatch. He is the current S&C coach at Catholic High.

I think Traction does a summer camp.

So to elaborate a little...my oldest just finished a season of high school sports, but wasn't as physically prepared as the other kids that have been playing. Unfortunately, they aren't doing a school based offseason program so I want to find something to get her caught up and better prepared for next season. I'd like to get my younger one (preteen) doing something as well just to help her get more fit. I have some knowledge from my younger days, but when it comes from dad its a fight.
