Gaston I went to Roatan last August on a diving trip with a buddy and his son. They both SCUBA and I just snorkel/free dive now. We went out of the West End with Coconut Tree Divers and I highly recommend them. I spoke with the owner and she allowed me to snorkel on my own which was fricking awesome! Most of the mooring balls are close in to the reef so they were all great snorkeling spots. I'll definitely go back to dive, but I wouldn't recommend it otherwise.
Thanks I’ll need a builder eventually. I found a great realtor in PC that helped with my initial housing.
I’ll be down in just over a week.
I'll be in BSL in temp housing till I move to PC at the end of the month. Finding a suitable long term rental was challenging due to all the Air B&B/VRBO units in the area. Former Navy Officer, now a Govie.
Negative originally from Lafayette.

Moving to Bay St Louis/Pass Christian

The moon and stars have finally aligned in my favor and I'll be transferring from the bad swamp (DC) to the good swamp (Stennis) later this month. I'm definitely looking forward to living on the Gulf Coast and exploring the area in my fishing kayak.

Hit me up (username@gmail) if you would like to meet up for an adult beverage and share some intel on the area.

Cheers,

BB :usa:

Cozumel Trip

Posted by LSUSPY on 2/1/19 at 6:39 am
Hello Fellow Travelers,

I'm heading down to Cozumel next week on a solo trip. I've read through some of the Cozumel threads and decided not to go the AI route, so I'm looking for good restaurants for dinner and bars for cocktails after. Planning on hiring a driver to tour all the cool bars on the East side and stop at a few beaches to snorkel. Other than that I'm wide open for suggestions. Thanks in advance! :dude:

My Mother worked for Governor Blanco when she was Lt. Governor. I met her and her family several times and they are good people. She was a solid Lt. Governor, but wasn't qualified to be Governor. Unfortunately, the populous of Louisiana is terrible at electing politicians and many people perished during Katrina that shouldn't have.

Roatan Trip Suggestions

Posted by LSUSPY on 8/23/18 at 10:01 am
Greetings Travel Board Peeps,

I'm heading out to Roatan Saturday for a week of diving. We are staying in Sunnyside and our house has a pier that goes out to the reef. I rented an SUV for the week and looking for shore diving locations and restaurant/bar recommendations. It's our first trip to the island. My buddy and his son will be SCUBA diving and I'll be free diving. I've traveled a good bit throughout the Caribbean, including Belize and it's my understanding Roatan will be a similar experience. Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the great BVI update. It's sad to see some of the damage inflicted by the storms. I sailed there with Festiva back in June 2012 and it was the best week of my life! I also travel to the Caribbean often and live in NOVA. Hit me up if you want to meet up to chat about our Caribbean travels.
I sailed the BVIs with Festiva in 2012 and it was the best week of my life! I was solo and Festiva paired me up with 2 couples. We bar hopped and snorkeled 1-2 locations every day. Everything was first rate and very reasonably priced. I'm planning on sailing with them again soon. Check them out: LINK

Knoxville recommendations

Posted by LSUSPY on 11/12/17 at 9:06 am
Greetings,

I'll be traveling down to Knoxville for the LSU game and would appreciate recommendations for restaurants/bars. Arriving early afternoon on Friday, want to start off with a good happy hour spot then transition to dinner followed up with bar hopping.

My krewe will be going to the Travleing Tigers tailgate party at Calhoun’s On the River from 3:30-5:30. Is there a better spot for lunch and watching the early games?

Good spots for a post game drink and Sunday brunch would also be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Has anyone had issues with wire transfers into Gemini? On June 9th I sent a wire from my credit union to my Gemini account and it was rejected. My credit union did not follow my instructions to send it from the account I have registered with Gemini. I registered the account it was sent from and contacted Gemini to see if they would accept it and no joy.

So since June 9th my $$$$ are not in my credit union or Gemini accounts! I've contacted my credit union several times to have the wire reversed and they haven't had any response from Gemini.

I've emailed Gemini several times about the issue requesting they either deposit the wire or send it back. Crickets!!!! All the while I've missed out on several great opportunities to buy more Ethereum :banghead:

I'm new to the platform, but many in this thread have recommended it as a solid option to trade with.

okietiger I'm with you on cashing out my initial investment at $500. I would be at 26% of total ownership and still have 40 ETH to play with.

For those still waiting to have their ID verified by Gemini, the squeaky wheel definitely gets the grease! After 9 days I emailed Gemini and my ID was verified in a matter of hours.

I transferred all of my ETH from Coinbase to Gemini in 5 minutes.

I uploaded my ID without any issues and it was verified in under 2 minutes.
