You can catch a few reds and flounder from time to time. Specks, not so much. There are 3 dams for crabbing and castnetting for shrimp which are usually packed on the weekends with idiots and people from Lafayette that shouldn't own a boat. So get there early if you want to get a spot to park your boat. Also,the alligators have gotten used to the people and will take you crab traps if you don't watch them. Vermillion Bay can get pretty rough at times.

Anyone know where I find rice brand pellets around BR? All spillway sportsman has is the powder.
