Would it surprise all of you to know that Art, Ronnie Estay, Robert Brunet, Maxie Estay, Bobby Hebert and yes Bae Bae Orgeron are all related? By the Orgeron side of our family they are all the kids of my Grandmothers brothers and sisters except for Bobby his Grandmother is my Dads sister. Quite the football family

Just got back from there last week. The grands liked it, very educational. Catch the War monuments in the cemetary where Lincolns tomb is. Went to the Lincoln Musuem and his house about a 4 block walk from Library. The Lincoln Musuem is actually the better place to go in, they strongly discourage the Library as it is truly a research place. The capitols looked like they were closed. I took 14 yr old grandson, 12 yr old grandaughter and 8 yr old grandaughter on trip
Another probable Grand Isle drowning

There is a real pretty waterfall about 5-10 miles directly off of Cherohala, nice picture taking place

re: Why is Grand Isle in Jefferson Parish?
Posted by LSU Fan Tylertown on 10/19/15 at 2:20 pm
Kajungee you are right
In 1788, Spanish governor Esteban Miro granted Isle Longue to Jean Voisin prior to the establishment of Lafourche and Terrebonne Parishes, but then known as Jefferson Parish all west of the Mississippi River; this broad coastal area was then known as Barataria. Jean died in 1820 in Pointe à la Hache, leaving all his properties to his son and daughter. Jean Joseph Voisin and Catherine Voisin. By 1824, Catherine had died and Jean Joseph married and moved onto the island for the fishing industry. Problems with land offices in LA recording in DC, and land on the island was sold and Jean Joseph filed a suit in Terrebonne Parish court, in the late 1840s — which litigation continued until the Civil War, when the courthouse was closed down by Union officials.

re: Unpaid Parking tickets- can they enforce it?
Posted by LSU Fan Tylertown on 10/14/15 at 10:24 am
A couple years back my Son's car was booted. He opened his trunk, took out his hacksaw and cut it off. Brought it to Ms. where it layed iron junk pile for a long time. I think they could have charged him something like $1500 for destroying that boot.
I have a apartment in CBD, these meter maids are like stink on sh*t, ever since they made the nola.com for sitting in coffee shops and playing on the phones instead of doing there job. NOPD also now has one of those license plate recognition truck like in the parking wars show. They just drive around and scan plates and if you have i think 2 unpaid tickets they jump out and boot you

re: Expanding Canal streetcar to make the turn on City Park ave onto Canal Blvd
Posted by LSU Fan Tylertown on 2/23/15 at 8:03 pm
my problem with them, and I see it all the time with St. Charles and Canal st. trolleys, is they are back to back most of the time, Two cars right behind each other or even three, then you have to wait almost a hour or so for the next car to pass. They have radios and dispatch so space that shite out and make it right

re: Vacation in Aruba advice

Just got back last week. It was a great vacation and would go back in a heartbeat. My back is still aching from the Jeep tour to the natural pond and natural bridge, that was some 4x4 country for sure. We stayed at The Renaissance Marina. Lots of traffic in that area. Grouper, Red Snapper and Barracuda was the best we ever ate.
