it's hilarious when they edit Mark Wahlberg's part on FX.

The envelope Billy gave to Madolyn contained the evidence showing that Colin was the mole. She gave it to Dignam.

Rumors of a prequel or sequel starring Deniro and Wahlberg surfaced on the IMDB page but I guess nothing has ever come of it. You can read about it under the trivia section on the Departed's IMDB page.

What about the ending was shitty? It basically wrapped up the theme of action and reaction forces... and that no matter how much of a push or pull there is in any direction it's eventually going to balance itself out. If that means everyone dies, that's how it happens.

It may have been unexpected, but it was a pretty logical conclusion.

A SHITTY ending would have been Damon's character getting away with it. I didn't want to see EVERYONE die, but the very end was good. Very little words just facial expressions and pop!

What they should have done was have Frank Costello give four leaf clovers to the people he trusted and have Ellerby give badges to the cops he trusted... In a "Real Chance at Love" two-pronged elimination attack .... until Billy and Colin were singled out as moles by their respective superiors, and left to fight to the death American Gladiator Style.

It would be a combination of all of your favorite reality shows. You could even have a guy dressed like Van Helsing showing Billy and Colin how to compete for Madolyn as a little sidebar.

Max, I hate to ask you this for fear that you may become conscious and cease to entertain... but why are you so defensive?
