We don’t win that 2024 SC game without him. He was incredible. Run game had gone nowhere that day or against Southern Cal without him. He was a huge spark plug
That team had talent too. Stingley, Ricks, Flott at corner. Jacoby Stevens and Jay Ward at safety. Cox and Damone Clark at LB. Ojulari and Ali Gaye off the edge
I loved them at the time they were still calling games together. Might be a hot take but I didn’t think Gary was a massive Bama homer. I just think it may have come across that way because those Bama teams were so dominant, that often times there was nothing but positives to say about them. I loved the entire CBS production
Not a specific player, but the 2023 and 2024 offensive lines with Kiffin’s run game would have been fun. Four draft picks off that unit
Yes, soft zone and 3 man rush is not a typical Baker defense. If anything I think he can be over aggressive with running QBs (QB beating the blitzer and nobody in the second level to stop him - especially in 2024 when we were bad at safety). Listening to Lane it seems he wanted “bend don’t break” vs Trinidad and hoped we could stop them in the red zone.
There are such wide ranging opinions on this based off if you watched A&M vs Kentucky or not. Doesn’t mean they can’t play better next week, but they got wrecked in the trenches by UK. LSU lost a one score game on the road to a Heisman guy.

Elmo is a good coach, but not sure he can fix the LOS issues in one week. ASU even out gained them by 100 yards the week before
Trinidad lit up Venables and Kirby both on the road last year. Baker wasn’t great, but wasn’t bad either imo. There’s no gameplan to stop Trinidad or those guys would have found it
Auburn 2022 was crazy. Were down I think 17-0 on the road at night. BJ got a strip sack for a Jay Ward scoop and score. Koy Moore INT to Harold Perkins on a trick play at the 10. John Emery high step score. Greg Brooks stealing the ball from (I think) Koy Moore to steal it. Was good revenge for how they beat us the year before in Tiger Stadium

2021 A&M. Coach O’s last game. I had zero belief we were going to put together that last minute drive with no timeouts. Think we got sacked the first or second play too.

Best play I ever saw Max Johnson make was taking a shot from an unblocked Aggie and dropping it in the bucket to Jaray Jenkins for the touchdown. Death Valley Magic
I do think the “proven coach” idea is a bit overrated. There is value to it, but Kirby, Lanning, Day, Dabo, Lincoln Riley (at OU) all were coordinators and are having/had big time success
