He may very well be great at developing talent. But, recruiting in the SEC and junior college is very different, more so now than ever before.
And I'm sure Pierce could afford to keep him if he wanted.
I just don't think a hire of this sort would be in line with what Johnson/Woodward are tryin...

Going from a coach with multiple SEC and MLB stops on his resume to a mostly high school/JUCO coach with one year at D1 seems like a step down to me....
