My take from this whole mess is that Lane’s mindset was basically, if they’re ruled eligible, great. If not, oh well. I’m just hoping all this nonsense gets sorted out so we can move on to what really matters: squashing the vermin that is Dabo Swinney, and getting the Lane Train rolling.

I fear this is heading down the same path as the Sorsby and Texas Tech debacle, where the conference and its member schools sue and LSU along with other “rule breakers” are ultimately forced to comply.

Well, the good news is we’ve seen this play out in past lawsuits against the NCAA. The SEC doesn’t have any protection from Congress either, so this ban doesn’t mean much. Get a judge to grant a TRO and the baws are in business.
