re: Alberta waterfowl trip continued

Sounds like a great trip. I'll be back in Canada next week and can't wait. I don't film much and have a tendency to only catch footage when it gets slow, but my son and I messed around with some of the clips from my hunt last year and made a couple composite videos. I'm looking forward to him being old enough to go with me. They're no AvianX quality

Re: the Nucanoe...

Which model do you have? I'm interested in the Frontier as I could use it with my son or fishing alone. Any thoughts on fishing as a pair out of one?

www.marshmutt.com

Use code MM15 when you check out to get 15% off.

I've ordered from them and they ship quickly in my experience.

Bought a silencer in a trust. Sent paperwork 3/18. Received stamp 8/4.

In theory it's based on the original manufacturer's reporting, which is a type of Form 1, or the Form 4473 (I think) when a gun or stripped lower is purchased and the background search is done. That's why when buying a stripped lower the buyer should always have it listed as a pistol or other device instead of calling the stripped lower a rifle.

In reality who really knows.

The ATF is dumb, but there's a nuance here the OP has to remember. If the lower he has now was originally built as a rifle, it is forever a rifle and cannot be converted to a pistol without the proper ATF approval. He would have to get a stamp for that lower and it would be considered an SBR since it was originally a rifle. It's dumb, but that is the law.

OP - you could add the brace and leave the longer barrel on it and you're fine. If you want to go with a short barrel you're better off to buy a new lower that hasn't been registered as a rifle and go from there, then you can build an AR pistol like in the picture.

Go eat something KR.

I don't wash mine often, but with that coating on it the mud comes off easily when I do clean it up.

And dove season has been open where I am since Monday. :nana:

You might want to check out having opticoat applied to the paint. Makes a huge difference over time.

I had it applied to my F150 and it's been well worth the money.
I've had Michelin LTX A/Ts on various trucks over the last 15+ years. They're great tires and I usually get 60-70K miles per set. The redesigned LTX A/T2s aren't quite as aggressive, but are really good tires. You're probably looking for something more aggressive though. :dunno:

I've always described a Mennonite to people that don't know them as between the Amish an a Pentecostal. A souped up Pentecostal if you will.

I always referred to them as Amish-lite.
I bought the same one a few weeks ago on gun broker (I actually called the shop and they lowered the price to not pay the gunbroker fee).

Finally got around to adjusting the stock drop/cast tonight. I didn't buy it for turkey hunting, but I think I'm going to carry it in the morning.

I need a good GPS app that has Topo Maps available. I need to be able to download the maps since There is no cell service where i need to use it. Any suggestions?

I found that it's just a lot easier to use a handheld GPS in those situations. I'm partial to the Garmin Etrex series. Download free topos to it and go. My cell phone (iPhone) always does a poor job when I try to use it as a GPS.

I bought mine off gunbroker.com. Same deal as Bud's, no tax or shipping but I had to pay a $25 FFL cost.

I would love to carry my XD more often, but I have to wear a suit most days for work. I can conceal the LCP very easily when I want to carry.

I've been running four camera for about a month. Averaging almost 500 pics per day, but all four sites have corn. These two bucks showed up one time and stayed for about 30min. I haven't seen them since. 1000s of doe and fawn pics though with a few more little bucks sprinkled in here and there.
