They’re both technically terrorism

But one is because the state keeps allowing cops who F their job up face no repercussions

The other is because Congress was formalizing the results of the election

fingerprints for TWIC

TWIC allows unabated access to industrial shipping
FYI last “generational” winter storm to knock out Texas’ grid was a decade ago.

The new Entergy cogen in lake charles - 20 minutes from the tejas border - is winterized because it’s tied to the national grid. Regulations are a pain in the head and the wallet but they save lives.
I really wish people would let go of the wind thing. Yes it’s fickle and only exists because of subsidies. It was also only supposed to account for 7% of supply. NatGas/Coal makes up the vast, vast majority of generation in the winter.

The NatGas pump stations and hubs weren’t winterized like it was suggested after the 2011 winter storm. Why? Because it costs money and regulations are the devil.

OSHA is a pain in the arse but every single section is written in blood. Regulations suck but having the “energy capital of the world” go completely dark sucks even more.
Texas kept their power grid separated so they didn’t have to abide by pesky federal regulations requiring things such as winterization.

So we’re blaming the feds for NOT stepping in, stomping on Texas’ right to maintain its own power grid? Really?
If you paid it off in the last year then you’re an idiot
sorry man, if I don’t get to snipe brown kids in my free time, I’m out
yup. not even to mention that the US companies the XL portion of keystone would service, where they add in light crude, prefer to have their product refined on the east coast as the refineries there yield a more expensive, better quality product.

Some hack politician said in 2015 “KXL has taken an overinflated role in political discourse. It’s being used as a political cudgel for both parties rather than a serious matter.” Hard not to agree with him.

And BTW...senate Rs struck down an amendment back then that would’ve approved the project congressionally IF only US steel was used and any product resulting from KXL stayed in the US.

It’s not about US energy security, not about jobs, not about the economy. It’ll only create a few thousand temporary jobs, and maybe 30 permanent ones. The oil from Alberta already reaches the gulf through completed phases of Keystone. It’s a big fat nothing burger that changes almost nothing whether it’s built or not.

According to this...yes...

I think spanking it is less severe than using the Lord to deceive your neighbors, but to each their own
Twitter/Facebook doesn’t have my drivers license
so they were smart enough to rig the presidential election and get away with it

but not smart enough to pay attention to any other races. gotcha!
I mean sure bud, but just remember...whoever sows to please their flesh, from their flesh will reap destruction (Galatians 6:6-10)

Lent is a time of sacrifice for us to remember. This is like saying “I give up eating things besides steak and whiskey”
Ah yes, unbiased source TNM

The problem wasn’t pollution limits. The problem is all your wind farms froze (17% of Texas’ energy pie) and your natgas hubs/pumps (40%) froze from condensation. They could’ve hear traced them - I’ve done more than a few pump stations & cogens myself - but they didn’t. Why? Because it was money they didn’t think they needed to spend.

It’s no ones fault but the private companies that run power stations and gas hubs.
That’s good to know - I was specifically talking about ibew8 up in Toledo. They have a lower “acceptance” rate than the UM
Another big issue is unions don’t apprentice anymore. I always figured they were dying to get apprentices with how often you hear how many jobs are out there. Including the BS Mike Rowe quote.

Union halls are more selective than college days. You either gotta have 5+ years experience and start at the bottom again (for Shite pay) or have a daddy/uncle already in your local. It’s BS.

Natural gas hubs freezing up is actually the main cause of this issue. Why? Because the providers didn’t spend the $$$ winterizing their equipment. Now NatGas prices are through the roof and those stations that are still working are making a killing.

And who is going to end up paying the extra $? Customers are.

Wind is obviously an issue as well, but Gas makes up about 35% of Texas total energy production
You’re a freaking mouth breathing sky screaming tard if you think the President has anything to do with this

If trump won this would still be happening

It’s because the dumbass energy providers aren’t preparing their sites for this oddball weather. Water is condensing in gas lines, water is freezing, valves are getting stuck, pumps locking up ALL BECAUSE THE COMPANY DIDNT PREPARE FOR IT

Why? Cause it would’ve been more expensive to heat trace their shite. Been in the biz 25 years baw. This ain’t windmills. Grab a blankey.
I’m not concerned about the debt at all. Idgaf if trump takes his money and run. Just pointing out he isn’t “just some guy in Florida” now.

And ps...the Rs were the ones blocking tax refund checks all during the pandemic. I certainly would’ve liked some of my money back. Cheers.
No. I’m not sure what the Rs gave up to not have witnesses called - but it would’ve absolutely been an embarrassment.

Why does anyone have any faith in the people trump hires? Sessions, Barr, Scarramucci, Rudy, Sydney...the list goes on and on and on. Pure embarrassments - except for Barr, but he failed trump when trump needed him most.

“Only hire the BEST PEOPLE,” was a campaign promise trump absolutely did not keep.
