He didn't confirm anything. He claimed that there was more evidence. I guess we will see once Comey files his Motion to Dismiss.

If this makes it to trial, won't Comey HAVE to testify? If the prosecution survives the Motion to Dismiss, won't Comey have to deny that "86" wasn't a threat?

If all he did was the seashells then that is perfectly legal.

I HOPE that this means that they used the “8647” charge to get him to turn himself in and that they have more serious and better charges to hang him with…

No serious person believes that Comey didn't know what "86" could mean.

The interviewer is not a serious person.

Then why did they only charge the seashell thing in the indictment?

Designed to fail, just like all the other law suits. Todd Blanche is an actor reading a script, just like everyone else in Washington.

Good, hopefully we’ll get to see it soon. Because if all they have is the post, this is not going to stick at all.

The other stuff will obviously be used to establish intent, "counselor."

Maybe the case isn't as weak as you have been insisting it is, eh? Of course it isn't. You're fricking clueless in every post you ever make.

It takes a special kind of fricking idiot to laugh because a case has flimsy evidence and then complain when they say they have more evidence to being to trial.

I shouldn't have to tell a "lawyer" this, but threat cases hinge on proving that the defendant knowingly and willingly made a true threat (not hyperbole, art, or protected speech). In order to do this, they will need to establish a pattern and prove intent. These will include prior statements, patterns of behavior, witnesses, documents, or other materials showing Comey's mindset or that this wasn't innocuous. This will be the additional evidence Blanche speaks of. Very obviously.

Why only charge him for the one thing? I'm assuming because they have enough evidence to prove his intent with the post based on the above patterns of evidence and don't want or need to charge him with anything else for fear if overcharging him.

Capone went down for tax evasion. Sending out a coded hit order on the POTUS is considerably more serious than that.

Im not going to pretend to know anything about how this plays out in court with legal shenanigans and 'intent' but we all know what his intent was. Just some seashells I found here, no clue what it means, I just think its a cute selfie...

I just hope the numerous attempts to assassinate the president of the united states from these types of 'ohhhh my bad I had no ideazzz saying I don't condone violence, but also punch them in the mouth in the street and eliminate at all costs' crap from the entire democrat side weighs on his collaborative 'my bad' stance

It's in the same vein as these other idiots who feel so emboldened to post that they are upset the assassin didn't have better aim on their facebooks - he was feeling the same vibe and let it rip.

I believe I am the good guy for wanting to kill the democratically elected president of the united states in the name of....saving democracy ;)

When asked what more the DOJ had, he said it would not be fair to either side to go into details.
