Gas, brake, and clutch in same orientation. Having to clutch with right foot and gas with left would have been much more difficult....
Not long. I've driven manuals in Ireland and England. First is all the way to the left. What's really annoying is some cars have the turn signal stalk on the left side of the steering wheel instead of the right....
