Charlamagne tha God: Nick Cannon Firing Proves Jews 'Have the Power'

quote:

Charlamagne tha God, the host of The Breakfast Club on New York’s Power 105.1 FM, said Wednesday that ViacomCBS’s decision to fire entertainer Nick Cannon for antisemitic and anti-white statements proved that “Jewish people … have the power.”

PBS is much better than NPR. Even though it can be dull, the news hour is the best source of straight news I know

You can get boudin shipped to you no matter where you live. It’s expensive to ship it out to the west coast or up to the northeast, but it’s very affordable to have delivered to your door in Houston.

Didn't know they did that

Beaumont

You call that leaving?

SETX is its own neck of woods, it shares some commonalities with both TX and LA, and there are some good people. Mostly I would classify it as a hell hole. My folks lived in Beaumont for a year or two and didn't love it.
Believe you, but more often than not I see CM grads making more than engineers. I make more than almost all my engineer friends and my job ain't that hard cher

When? 1985? I'm not in LA anymore, Both the full time and Executive MBA are more than $70K...

from your post I would say you are not a good candidate.

You seem like you'd be a great fit on the admissions council

You really think Rice is not as good of a brand as UT?

It's not, it's not really up for debate

Guess you're right bruh

As much as this pains me, aTm if you can get in.

Also look at Lamar, La Tech, and UH. I don’t know how good ULL’s is.

LSU is great.

If you live in SWLA or SETX, Lamar is a good option. I have some really good engineers from there. Not sure about LA Tech, I am sure it is a good choice. UH from my experience has a great MechE program. ULL I do not think is as good, I am only familiar with it being a good business/CS/EE school.

I just recently finished getting my MBA from the University of Houston (UH) full-time after working for about 15 years in construction management, so here is my 2 cents.

Thanks that is good perspective. I just found UH is pricey considering the cost of other degrees, I assume it is to suck blood from companies who sponsor employees. You really think Rice is not as good of a brand as UT? I think Rice carries more weight than A&M considering the folks I've seen with it.

McCombs at Texas is always flirting with being a top 15 school and can get you some really good jobs at 100k plus straight out. That's about the lowest tier school I'd go to.

Agreed, but USC is neck and neck on the list, and in my view a better national brand. Still wouldn't do it unless I got some big money to help.

I have a masters in engineering from LSU. I walked out with more money than I went in with.

I did the PBC and got a masters in CM. It was worthwhile for my earning. But don't think MBA will be worth it there. Just thinking about future leadership positions. MBA can open more doors, I just do not want to pay for it.

MBA Programs

Recently moved to Houston and I was thinking about an MBA. I know Tulane has one here, UH, UT, Rice, A&M, etc. I could never be an Aggie, can’t stand them. Anyways the MBA is a pretty penny $70k - $100k. I don’t think it makes sense to LSU MBA online considering the business schools in Texas are right here and as good or better.

I think if I did one here I’d need some financial incentives. Also saw ULL has an online MBA for a bargain price of $12K lol, but figure that is a bad idea unless I want to live in LA again. If I do one online probably needs to be an elite program like USC.

That is such bs. You are generalizing bad. Just because one redneck in Beaumont said it that way does not mean that’s how they all pronounce it there. It’s the same thing dude SETX & SWLA are interchangeable. It’s not that hard to understand.

They are not interchangeable. I don’t know a single Texas who has properly said Hebert. I regularly hear Lagniappe as “Lan-Yap” instead of “La N’yop”. I am from SWLA, and the culture in Beaumont is completely different than in LC. People are straight up assholes, people in LC, when not idiots, are often some of the friendliest I’ve met, at least to your face. Sulphur/Vinton/Moss Bluff probably have some assholes I’m not claiming to know those towns.

I wouldn’t call Calcasieu part of Acadiana. Probably part of the demographics on some maps, but culturally, in my opinion, Acadiana ends around Jennings when going down I-10.

So what are the northern/eastern/southern borders? Because if Acadiana is defined as a unique sub-region of south Louisiana comprising Lafayette and the surrounding 50 miles, that’s cool.
quote:

I lived in both cities. LC can claim Cajun culture but it is not Acadiana.

I am content with Lafayette and the surrounding 50 miles being “Acadiana”. Keep the title bruh. So long as SE Louisiana, area west of New Orleans, German Coast, etc., is also not ”Acadiana”. And if we agree Baton Rouge is not a Cajun city at all, especially not East Baton Rouge, keep it. At end of the day, Terrebonne/Lafourche is as different from “Acadiana” as SWLA is. And you can’t consider Cameron parish is Acadiana, it’s only got what 10k residents?
