We will be flying from Germany on an Airbus with Lufthansa. What is the difference between the upper level and the main level? We have the opportunity to pick seats on either level. TIA

Had a 2014 3500 with the Cummins and Aisin Transmission, pull 38’ fifth and got 12 to 13 MPG towing. Upgrade to the Aisin Transmission and you will not be disappointed.
Part time employment?
Posted by Viper3428 on 12/27/23 at 10:30 am
I have reached Full Retirement Age and considering a part time job to get out of the house. My question, is SS taken out of my check or do I get it back when I file my year end taxes. TIA
Edit: I’m already receiving monthly SS income, I’m past Full Retirement Age I don’t believe I have a penalty on earnings.

Planning a trip to take the Natchez Trace Parkway from Natchez to Nashville, please give me some ideas of what to do and places to stay. Time is not a big factor, we can take as long or as little time for the trip as needed.

CPAP on oversea flights
Posted by Viper3428 on 8/11/22 at 11:22 am
Going overseas for the first time using a CPAP machine. On previous flights I didn’t notice if anyone was using a CPAP machine. I’ve tried to call the airlines but just get put on hold. I’m flying business an I know there are electrical outlets that I could use but, will they let me use my CPAP? Anyone have any information or knowledge of the guidelines?

Sambuca - What to buy?
Posted by Viper3428 on 1/12/22 at 10:15 am
I was at a dinner the other night and one of the ladies asked for a chilled Sambuca, as an after dinner drink. I asked, what is that? Her reply was try it. I tried it and really enjoyed it for an after dinner drink. My question is what should I buy. I checked a couple online sites and the price is all over the place. Anyone have any suggestions as to what brand to buy? TIA.
re: Anyone getting nervous about any upcoming Europe trips?
Posted by Viper3428 on 11/20/21 at 11:09 am
We canceled our river cruise starting 12/14 with 2 day stay Prague and then a 5 day cruise down the Elb to Berlin for 2 more days.
We had read that Germany was not allowing the Christmas markets to open again this year and they were having over 60,000 new Covid cases a day.
We were able to schedule a 10 day West Indies cruise leaving 12/13 out of Puerto Rico.

We are booked on Viking 6/15 thru 6/22 around Bermuda and Viking has said they will give the PCR test daily to passengers and crew. They are supposed to have a lab onboard.

Cruise around Bermuda.
Posted by Viper3428 on 4/10/21 at 4:22 pm
Leaving 6/15 for an 8 day cruise around Bermuda (Viking). Anything we should see or do in Hamilton, St George’s or Kings Wharf if they let us go sightseeing on our own. TIA
re: Capital One customer support. I ain't even mad. I'm actually impressed at the absurdity.

I agree Amex is great to do business with. Last year we booked a hotel in Venice, Italy between cruises, the cruises were cancelled, so we requested our payment. The hotel refused to give us a refund. After a few months we contacted Amex they got our refund back within a couple weeks. This was with Morgan Stanley Bank.

re: Who here knows how to drive a vehicle with standard shift on the steering column?
Posted by Viper3428 on 1/7/21 at 12:22 pm
I learned to drive in a 67 Saab 3 cylinder, 2 cycle engine, front wheel drive with a 4 speed on the column, that got 40 mpg. This was back in 72, fun times.

re: Places to go in Europe ...suggestions needed...
Posted by Viper3428 on 12/21/20 at 10:00 pm
We took a 14 day river cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest and really enjoyed it. Being able to discover a new location almost every day was a great experience and not have to unpack and repack every couple of days was the best. Traveling on the river was quite and peaceful with beautiful views. The cruise included a sightseeing trip at each stop & an optional one for a fee. Enjoyed the trip so much we are planning another one for December 2021.

I had mine repaired at Micheal Canel in Ponchatoula. They have pick up and delivery. They have a 10 to 14 day backlog.
