MyQ liftmaster internet gateway router compatibility

I recently bought a house and the previous owner left us the internet gateway enabling the liftmaster garage door opener. Only problem is that our AT&T fiber router is not compatible with the internet gateway. I was looking at a mesh system anyway so I am looking for some recommendations on a mesh system that is compatible. TIA

I use the TP link mesh system and have the myQ on my garage door. Never had a problem

I have MyQ and it works with our Google Nest mesh router.

I have it on Google wifi. Why is it not compatible with ATT router? Seems odd as it's a very basic device.

I have myQ hooked up to Asus Nighthawk and it works perfectly. You shouldn't have any issues with connectivity.

That doesn’t matter. The opener gateway is plugged in.

I don’t necessary understand how/why there would be a compatibility issue. The gateway just needs access to the internet.

MyQ can *only* connect on 2.4Ghz, and struggles with 2.4/5Ghz bonded networks. It will connect.

Same. I’m not happy about Google Assistant not longer working with MyQ. I was looking to replace MyQ with the Tailwind.
