Has anyone here played Grand Bear before? Is it worth the drive over there on a weekend? Is it usually packed?

Really cool course, one of my favorites. I played it early Saturday morning of memorial day weekend last year and it wasn't crowded. Hell most of the time it felt like we were out there by ourselves due to the layout.

It’s been awhile for me. But definitely a fun course. Don’t know where you are driving from but probably worth it

It’s my favorite layout of the Fallen Oak/Preserve/Grand Bear trio. The others usually have better conditioning, not meaning the bear’s is bad by any stretch. I love it. Need to go back soon

Its a fun course and has always been in great shape when I’ve played there. They hosted a pga champions event a few years ago. I’ve played on a Saturday and Sunday and it’s never felt crowded. Tee times are 10 minutes apart

Played 36 there this past Saturday on a guys trip. Course was in great shape and the layout is awesome. Afternoon was very slow but morning it was moving.

Love the course

In general you can only see the hole you are on and no other golfers which I really like

Course is great. But, I think they may have 2-3 people working at any given time out there.

I’ve played it a good bit and there are never cart girls…. Only the Ol red head that works the bar.

I played last Saturday and loved it. Elevation change, quick greens, and like mentioned above each hole is “secluded”
Was worth my $112 (played in a group of 30 guys)

It’s fantastic. Try to play it a few times a year

How early in advance can you get a tee time? What kind of shape was it in?

I thought it was pristine, I couldn’t think of one thing wrong with it. Greens were fast and true I thought. Guy I played with has played there the day before so he had some good advice. Grill was better than average

We played it on the 17th and it was awesome. Greens were stupid fast. One of the guys in our group 6 putted...lol. I thought it was tough as hell but I'm not that good. We played the yellows which I think is one up? 6600yds.
