re: Sandos Finisterra Los Cabos

Awesome. The way I understood the website is that this was an All-Inclusive resort which would include all drinks and food at all restaurants. Is that not a true statement?

Just a general review of the resort. Food, drinks, activities etc. Would you go back? How is the location?

Sandos Finisterra Los Cabos

Has anyone ever been to this resort? Looks to be close to the marina which is where we have been told is a good area to be for food / drinks outside the resort? Any recommendations for Cabo? TIA
I would have to agree. If security is required for a group of 5 young couples (30s) then I don't believe we are in the right spot.
Thanks for all the input. Do you have any information on where this trip was booked? Did someone put all of that together, or was an outfit used to book all of this? And for the group size, realistically it is closer to 10 (5 couples). We have taken groups trips to other places and it worked out fairly well. Everyone understands that not everyone is going to be catered to, but most are good about if they commit to going, they commit to paying (lodging) regardless if they go or not. We were just looking to expand to a Caribbean Island and was looking for recs. Thanks again.
Group of friends are looking to book a VRBO in the Caribbean for a week during the spring / summer of 2022. Have any of you took a group of say 10-15 to a Caribbean island such as this? Which island would be best for a group trip? Was floating around the idea of the BVIs, Cayman Islands, etc. Would be leaving out of NOLA. TIA

Planning a trip to Park City the second week of March. I have never been to Park City. Is this too late in the season for Park City? Should I steer my trip to a different location? TIA

Thanks each of you for your responses and HoustonGumbeauxGuy I am going to dig into your reviews shortly.

Any other recommendations on destinations that would include some great excursions including great fishing opportunities in January as well as some golf courses nearby. Do not mind having to drive / catch a ride a bit if needed.

Honeymoon Cabo

Looking for honeymoon recommendations for Cabo. Trip will be January of 2021 pending Corona limitations are over by then. Looking for an all-inclusive adult only resort. Currently looking into Cabo as it seems like a great location that has plenty of activities that include golf, fishing, spa, and other excursions. Anyone have any recommendations on resorts, fishing charters, must-play golf courses, and excursions to take??

Also, am not dead set on Cabo as the destination. So any recommendations that include an all-inclusive type resort in a location that offers golfing, fishing and other excursions are recommended as we enjoy getting out and doing things rather than simply just laying on the beach or by the pool. All-inclusive is not a must at we plan to spend majority of our time out enjoying different things, but do like the idea of an all-inclusive setting while at the resort.

Thanks in advance.
Am planning on doing this exact trip in late October and looking for any recommendations as well. Recommendations on anything from must see sights, places to eat, places to stay etc. Last half of the trip is set in stone, but first half is still up in the air.

1st Night - LA (Will be arriving late, plan to stick around airport and find something cheap as we will be there for a few hour nap)
2nd Night - Undecided
3rd Night - Monterey / Carmel Area (Hoping to get pair up at Pebble Beach as a single)
4th Night - Monterey / Carmel Area (Day two of trying to play Pebble if Day 1 doesn't work)
5th Night - San Francisco (Company Function)
6th Night - San Francisco (Company Function)
7th Night - San Francisco (Company Function)

Any and all recommendations are greatly appreciated. Work function is Wednesday afternoon and all day Thursday so plenty of time in S.F.

Yellowstone: Sling TV

Posted by SaltyDawg21 on 7/29/19 at 8:40 am
Currently on Season 2 of Yellowstone and I am watching "On Demand" on SlingTV. Season 2 Ep. 3 does not show up as an option to watch, Ep. 4 is showing 8 minutes long, and Ep. 5 does not show up as an option to watch. Does anyone else have this issue? And if so, is there anything you can do to fix this?

Thanks for all the recommendations. Pasatiempo looks very temping and I may make that happen on my full day off. I do plan on staying closer to town on my afternoon round. If you could only play one course at Half Moon Bay, which course would you choose?

Sweater in August?? Not typical for my rounds in August here in MS.

Assuming October will be quite chilly as well?

San Francisco Golf Recs

Headed to San Francisco mid October and looking to catch a couple golf rounds. Looking for any and all recommendations. Have read mixed reviews on Half Moon Bay as well as TPC Harding Park. I do see the 2020 PGA will be held at Harding Park so I would imagine this track being in top shape. Are these the two must play tracks in the area? Or are there some hidden gems that I should look into as well. Most likely will have one early afternoon round and then will have an early morning round. Looking to stay within an hour of downtown San Francisco. Thanks in advance.

re: Horn Island Camping

Posted by SaltyDawg21 on 3/28/19 at 1:43 pm to
Trip looks to be second weekend in April, so hoping some of this current weather we are having will stick around for a few more weeks. Would this time of year be good to pick up some crabs and possibly some flounder?

Also thanks for all the input thus far. Seems as if a 1 gallon jug of bug spray should be the first on our list.

Horn Island Camping

Anyone here ever camped on Horn Island? Looking to make a trip in the coming weeks and was curious if any of you have ever made this trip and needed any permits for camping?
Appreciate the recs. Will look into YS Falls as well as the Rum Factory as that seems to be the only two recommendations.

Also a fellow Civil Dawg myself. Hailstate

Headed to Sandals South Coast for a friends wedding in August. Has anyone of the travel board ever been? What to expect? What to do and what not to do? I am PADI Dive certified, so i do plan on taking advantage of the diving which is stated as Included? Has anyone had experience with the included diving at a Sandals resort? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
