These are 8th grade girls in a group with 2 female teachers and one female guide. Not sure if the teachers have ever been camping/backpacking but none of the girls have been. Zero survival skills — city girls through and through. Yes, she is 78 lbs and 13 years old. Smallest kids osprey 50L pack at REI did not fit and hit the hips in a way where it caused discomfort — loaded the pack in store with 15 lbs weight and had an experienced sales person adjust the pack.
She will be staying home. There are too many serious questions and far too few answers from the school and guide company.

Seems like one would need 50L pack for 3 days on the trail considering rain is in the forecast (rain jacket and pants). Probably easily going over 16-20 lbs in that pack with bag/pad/clothes/water. Novice hikers too.

Very good result considering he was charged with a DWI 2nd. In Texas this means something unlike in Louisiana where you have to be .08 to pass your driver's test. :rotflmao:

Fellas...it is with great pleasure for me to announce that #10 Vince Young has been cleared of *drunk driving* charges stemming from his DUI arrest in Fort Bend County. What are the facts? What do we know? We know he won back to back Rose Bowls and loves the Cheesecake Factory. :usa:
