Pretty close, I'd probably swap Ole Miss and Alabama though.

Yes, it seems like a lot.

9-3

1.9.12 was the worst. It was always going to be tough to win, but the game plan (or lack of) was just so bizarre, the defense played pretty good, but the lack of any sort of adjustment on offense was crazy. Every fresh set of downs I waited for something different and it never came.
Too many favorites to narrow it down, but the comeback in 2017 vs. Auburn was pretty awesome.

Was there a game this year that was closer than the score indicated?

I can't think of one where we weren't trying to burn clock, take a knee, or the opponent got a cheap score late. Maybe Texas...
That was one of the things that gave me confidence going into last night. We hadn't really needed an entire 4 quarters yet.

You could see in the ref's expression before he announced it that he was bummed to eject someone from the Natty, but had to do it.

Did we ever sub for CEH, I don't recall seeing Curry or TDP for a single play?
It wasn't apparent on the ESPN broadcast, what was the reason for Jefferson returning the one punt?

I didn't think I was that bad, but my wife will no longer watch big games with me, so there's that...
Probably an 8.

Woodward had 24 tackles against Wake Forest. Pretty impressive regardless of what schools are playing.
re: This is by far the best stat in the country (Red Zone offense)

22/27 were touchdowns too, 81.4% TDs is awesome!
Red Zone offense has been abysmal in years prior.

USU has a history of making big name opponents very uncomfortable. Tigers still win, but this isn't a Northwestern State type game.

The other night I was trying to rank them. I was leaning towards Chase as #1, then one of the others would do something awesome and have me second guessing. Honestly, I'm just excited about all three of them.
Yes, not even close.
With that said, the schedule is still tough and while I think 9-3 is the basement it wouldn't shock me.

In general I thought the offense looked really good. My only complaint is our offense once we get inside the 10. The play calling and execution is so bizarre once we get a first and goal. We march down the field and then it's almost like we're playing for 3 points instead of the touchdown.
It was pretty cold in the stadium.
Fiesta Fan Turnout
Posted by BuckPin on 1/2/19 at 11:53 am
Around town for a couple days before the game I was seeing way more UCF fans, like 10 to 1. At the game it seemed pretty even, with maybe a slight edge to UCF 55/45 split. Seems like they had a lot of students there. What did everyone else see?
The rule has got to be adjusted. I'm all about player safety, but it's still football and sometimes players are going to bump heads. Delpit is a classic example of non-flagrant. Ejection is ridiculous in that case.

Will there be much of a pregame tailgate/atmosphere for an 11am kickoff after New Year's Eve celebrating?
We're staying in Tempe and I'm guessing we won't be arriving at the stadium very early.

Thanks for the advice everyone!
I may try waiting until later. It just feels weird booking a flight and hotel for a specific event, without securing access to the event too!

Fiesta Bowl Tickets / Advice

Living in Utah, I rarely get to attend an LSU game in person. While the UCF match up isn't high on my list, this is about as close to home as the Tigers will ever play, so I'm going to make the trip.
What are the best practices for obtaining tickets (i.e. third party sites, scalpers, etc)? Any other game day advice I should keep in mind? What is the rant's sense of how many Tiger fans are headed to Phoenix?
