Even more proud of this team

missing several of its key players, LSU entered this game picked by many to lose. With so many breaks and bad calls going against them, they could have given up. The emotional swings of thinking you had won (at least 3 times) would have left most teams floundering. The mere exhaustion of seven overtimes is enough to cause many teams to just give in to get the inevitable over with.

Not our tigers. They never gave up. Certainly they could have won. They probably should have won, even with all the bad external factors, over which they had no control, working against them. But they never gave up. And I will not give up on them. Go tigers.
Why did the Aggie request a chair for his coffin?

For rigor mortis to sit in.
This! BAMA knows that SEC west depends on beating LSU. But that may not be the most significant reason. Just ask Buggs, Collins, Smith, big Cam, Moses, etc.

BAMA’s top target each year is LSU. Without that win they lose more than the West. They lose valuable recruits from LA. This is the first year I have heard an LSU coach suggest that BAMA is our primary target. We usually get the same old “every game is important.” This year we had analysts working all year breaking down BAMA’s offense and defense.

What beat LSU this year was not a lack of knowledge but a lack of talent, particularly the line. I believe our coaches anticipated this. But there was nothing they could really do about it. I’m convinced we have the best DC in the league. I am not convinced that having the best OC in the league would have changed the outcome.

Maybe the line can get stronger next year. Maybe we can better recruit those positions. This February will tell.

A 10-2 record is still possible. That would be quite remarkable when compared to expectations. Go tigers!
