Anyone start fishing for specks in GI or is it too early still?

I think it is still early. Trout are still getting caught in decent numbers deep into the marsh.

Fished leeville last week and trout were few and far between. Picked up 12 in 3 days of hard fishing. All were in a deep canal

Not in the surf but you can find a few in the marsh not too far
If it stays this warm it won't be much longer

Not specks, but I saw people catching reds off the side of the road in between Elmer's Island and Fourchon on the way out of there on Sunday.

Same here, got a few reds and trout. It was tough.

Was pretty dead. No luck, but I didn't try that awful hard either. Was windy.
