We have stopped at what is now the Camp House in Diamondhead a few times. Was a quiet sports bar type place - name has changed. Not sure what type of place it is now

Iron Banks has the correct solution - you can take the matter into your own hands. Propane is about $2.53 a gallon at the moment. You still be at the mercy of the delivery guy.
Otherwise it is a fight with City Hall (or parish council) to upgrade the gas piping system
There was an oversupply of these generators a couple of months ago and they were selling the with a transfer pretty cheap. A lot of capacity was added to many systems

Gumbo Pot is correct.
The future is hard to predict. Most municipalities simply add on to a system that may have been originally installed 70 years ago, with a very different usage allowance at the time. Adding subdivisions without performing a proper hydraulic study on the gas system and then crossing your fingers is the most common approach.
Adding generators to the calculation more than doubles the assumed gas usage. Some city leaderships make a decision not to include generators in the gas budget
Add to that that some city piping systems have a very low pressure rating because they do not want to pressure test the piping systems. Does not take much more gas demand in some situations to crash the system

Propane is your safest bet. My neighbor's parents live in Thibodeaux and none of the generators in their subdivision will run because of gas supply pressure issues. I could go really in depth on this issue and local muncipalities gas supply systems, but a previous poster seemed to have summed it up quite well.
I think that you will find a diesel generator to be a bit expensive. I just installed a 26 kw - anything liquid cooled was over twice the price. Couldn't see something seldom used being worth it. Got because if got tired of hearing my wife go on about having one
