Do you mind sharing what the cost was?
In just his Missouri lodge alone he has a waiting list over 100 groups. He runs 24 guys every day through that place for $2250 per person. That equals $1,080,000 for 60 days of duck season. You add snow goose hunts, deer hunts, turkey hunts, dove hunts, teals hunts, plus his lodges in Sask and KS and he does pretty well. He and his partners own most of what they hunt in MO.
Mainly hunt stock tanks around the river. Did hunt some sheet water in a flooded wheat field. Blinds were nice. JJ does love JJ!

CC, I hunt across the river from you in Campti, how has your season been?? This has been a very slow year for us. Mostly grey ducks but have killed more mallards this season than the last 9 in the same hole which is strange with this weather pattern.
Negative. The reciprocal agreement is only for fishing. Does not matter where you launch from but what side of rive you are on. See cut out from LAWF site:

Texas Reciprocal

Louisiana seniors, 65 years of age and older, are not required to purchase a non-resident license to fish in all public waters in Texas. These anglers will be allowed to fish Texas water bodies with a Louisiana Senior fishing license but shall comply with Texas law.

Senior anglers are advised that anglers turning 60 before June 1, 2000 are also required to possess a Louisiana Senior fishing license when fishing in Texas, except in border waters. Louisiana residents from 17 to 64 years of age will still be required to purchase a non-resident fishing license when fishing in Texas, except when fishing in border waters.

In all border waters, except the Gulf of Mexico, Texas and Louisiana anglers possessing the necessary resident licenses, or those exempted from resident licenses for their state, are allowed to fish the border waters of Louisiana and Texas without purchasing non-resident licenses. Border waters include Caddo Lake, Toledo Bend Reservoir, the Sabine River and Sabine Lake.

Louisiana is also allowing Texas senior residents 65 years of age and older, to fish throughout Louisiana’s public waters if they possess any type valid Special Texas Resident licenses for seniors as issued by Texas Parks and Wildlife, any type of water, saltwater or freshwater. Even Texas residents born before September 1, 1930 must possess the Texas Special Resident Fishing license when fishing in Louisiana, except in border waters.
To hunt the Texas side you must have a TX license and stamp and the same goes for LA. I have hunted both for 20+ years and always had both.
I was on the lake all weekend. I drove around and saw 8-12 bwt total Friday so I slept in. I heard 8 shots Saturday morning and zero Sunday. I am on North end LA side, you?
