Not really against the grain once you go further north and venture out of the land of ranch style homes.
I love cheat days

passed ball by schwarber. Told you he couldn't catch.
I know that's partly tongue in cheek...but he better learn, because the logjam is going to be real, and soon.
I know the whole "logjams are a good thing" saying, but it's going to be tight.

If new to smoking I would recommend you look up "BBQ Wisdom of Harry Soo" for great tips using the WSM. He uses them in competition and wins often.
quote:
Harry’s BBQ Wisdom is simple:
1. BBQ is ready when it is ready (so don’t hurry).
2. Less is more. Less smoke, less rub, less add-on’s.
3. Opening your smoker is bad.
4. Too tender is good.
5. Foiling is good.
6. Grilling is not barbequing. BBQ is low and slow.
7. Always have fun when you BBQ, even if the results are otherwise.
So true, especially with the rubs. I've been using less and less the more I BBQ

So what are y'all going to do with Piscotty and Grichuk?
It's a good problem to have logjams, but with re-signing Jay and getting JHey, what is the talk of dealing with the abundance of OF?

That's because you give 0 fricks about anything. You just go to the games to eat brats, drink beers, and revel in the history of a Cubs organization that has been irrelevant for 90% of its existence.
lol...WTF?
This stuff is serious business, eh?

Went to the Ringling Bros. circus just a couple months ago at the United Center. We were so excited to bring my son to his first circus.
That shite was depressing. The wife was actually crying...we left during intermission. My son only liked the lights anyways.

re: So how do all the foodie dorks feel about Sriracha blowing up?
Posted by Rook on 3/3/15 at 8:10 am to HeadyBrosevelt
Mix some sour cream (or plain greek yogurt), sriracha, lime juice, horseradish sauce and cumin and put on your steak or fish tacos, good stuff
Love that shite, and glad I tried it at the rinky dink Thai joint a couple years back.

So, I've finished the Pilaf saga.
So far, so good. Really enjoying it. So what happens now that Yamcha cut off Goku's tail?
Nevermind, don't tell me

re: so what exactly is the culinary style of baton rouge?
Posted by Rook on 3/2/15 at 3:04 pm to Houma Sapien
I always called it redneck cajun, since it always seems the fish frys and bbq were main staples right along with the crawfish boils and jambalaya cookouts. At least in my family and friend's circle
IMO the restaurants there don't really do the culinary scene justice because LSU caters to bar food and cheap beer, and LSU is basically Baton Rouge.

Oh I wasn't including boudin
Hah, gotcha.
After living in Illinois for the past 10ish years, when I fly in to visit the folks, the first stop I go before I even call them is getting some boudin.
And then I go to my dad's and eat some etouffee poured over some sac-au-lait caught out of his lake.
And then after that I go to my mom's and eat her bread pudding.
And after that I go into a food coma until I do it again for the next couple weeks

Are we talking just main courses here?
Because I've made boudin a main course hundreds of times
