He came to LSU because he wanted to compete with and against the best.

Rice was also considered a non conference rival decades ago. If the visiting team was victorious, lots of traffic tickets back when you went straight to court or jail just before visiting fans drove across the state line.

A&M and LSU have had epic battles over top recruits in the past.

I think the problem is that some want U La La to be considered BIG TIME. For them going to the New Orleans Bowl was the same as going to BCS Championship. I remember when they went 0-10 then the following year moved up from small college ranks to "Big Time" USL couldn't compete with the likes of McNeese, Northwestern, Northeastern (now ULM) and La Tech any longer.

BTW, it was friends who were alum of SLI (previous name of USL) and USL who began to call it it U (pronounced oo) La La when they changed the name.
The day I turned 18 and was in the back 2/3 back in the lottery the final year dudes were actually drafted.

Dad enlisted in the Navy in '39 because he saw war brewing and didn't want to walk.
I played both OT and DT in h.s. not enough size to play college. I found a successful (pass or run) block more satisfying than anything successful on defense.

The vast majority of fans have no idea about position techniques and schemes on either side of the ball in the trenches. They think that defense is 100% go to the ball at the snap and pancake blocks on the O side. Many really good linemen in h.s. solely on size and strength, cannot make the next step up after being signed in college.

The game has changed drastically from my time regarding hand use on both sides of the ball, as well as size of players over the last 45 years. It really is a completely different game.

Yes and part of the Newtron/Clinton tax reform had the government paying big subsidies to companies if they shutdown manufacturing and called the plant mothballed. This began in 1998 and why so many plants began being demolished in 2003 across the nation. Take for instance a copper smelter in NM which was paid $1.7 million annually to just sit there for 5 years.

Your tax dollars at work thanks to Newtron/Clinton paying companies to move their manufacturing overseas.

That's why those Babcock and Wilcox waste heat boilers at Dow Plaquemine were made in Turkey by B&W's Austrian subsidiary making them there.

Regardless of ability, we will see how well he fits into LSU's system the next several months. Glad to have him join the competition.
Just shrink the hell out of it. It's the size that is the problem not whether it uses direct hires or contractors.

Who cares? He's basically an FDR worshiper who likes big government but using contractors to handle all the spending.
Good grief, a short sentence doesn't provide context.

There are more negotiations going on than just trade and all at the same time.

Fricking narrow minded view by the poster for sure
You set the bar real low. Maybe for Nichols State or Tulane.

Only when Beckwith was out.
Madness is an arrogant jerk who has lied the entire time. He backed a former Obama aide, Anti-Tea Party, Pro-Obamacare, Pro-Union candidate in Indiana where his Fed subsidized farm is located) in a 2012 congressional race. He promised to get out if he didn't raise $250K by end of last summer yet only raised $80K.

He's one broke dick candidate with 90% of his support via DC PACs
He's an arrogant jerk who supported an Obama aide for congress in Indiana in 2012 with max money donation. Pro-Obamacare, Pro-Union, Anti-Tea Party kinda guy. Madness ain't at all what he says he is. Useful idiot or Landrieu plant, take your pick.
Apparently you are not aware that Mitt ran a call center and his SC PAC paid for a lot of her ground game. He did much more than any other PAC, group or individual.

As far as her help... meh.
