Looks like the Nick Saban show on Gameday this morning

How do you compete with that in recruiting?
Can you feel the warm breath of Saban, Freeze, Malzahn and Sumlin on the back of your necks? I thought so ....
People need to chill a little on the odds of signing Adams. Without inside info, but only considering the general circumstances, this feels like a major reach at the eleventh hour. Sometimes works. More often does not. Almost seems like a desperate effort.
Don't understand all the unbridled optimism around here. There are some big damn wolves circling the State this year. Things may go well but, it is best to be aware that it could also get ugly. When predators start picking off members of a herd, the herd sometimes scatters.

Being in the running for top recruits and actually signing said recruits is two different things. Some of the weakest classes LSU has ever had were ones where many high profile players were pursued and many went elsewhere. Far too long ago for the youngsters to remember.

The expectations for next year are already getting out of hand. Some who have such unrealistic hopes are just naive while others I think have unsavory motives such as tearing down the program because they simply enjoy chaos.
Anyone who claims that next years team will be overloaded with talent is either stupid or has evil intentions.

Just wait... Only a matter of time till some lawyer finds a client willing to sue over the three year rule. NFL will be signing kids after 0, 1 or 2 years based on potential. Greed wins all around.
Demographics. Do you even live in Louisiana?

Frick you dumbass.
You are a very sick, poisonous little man. Do you have anything else in your life other than to hang around this silly message board spreading weak-minded venom?

Great news, but let's please ease up on the expectations on any true freshman. Haven't we learned anything from the defensive struggles this year? Herron, Bower, Neal, Beckwith, Bain, etc were all supposed to step in this year and 'we wouldn't miss a beat. Just not often fair to the kids.
Sorry, off my soap box. Carry on.

re: General Louisiana linebacker question
Posted by highTiger on 11/13/13 at 1:09 pm to Forkbeard3777
Louisiana is just a small state, and usually doesn't 't have the population base to produce top talent at all positions every year. I remember way back when people said that LA didn't and couldn't produce big, quality offensive or defensive linemen. Also remember when LA was a hotbed for QB talent (believe it or not)
It also seems to sometimes run in cycles for some reason. We're good, but way too small to be like Florida, Texas or California.

Why not Diarse at safety?
Posted by highTiger on 11/12/13 at 8:40 am
I am not a talent evaluator, but isn't Diarse a very physical, talented athlete who played some DB in high school? If we get two or more of the receivers on the board, would it be worth a shot?

It is just that An extraordinarily large percentage of the people in LA are ignorant rednecks. Only rational explanation.
Bama recruiting on a different level - Grow up and deal with it!
Posted by highTiger on 11/11/13 at 2:57 pm
It may be true in normal times that recruiting classes in the top 5 or even the top 10 can all be considered comparable. This is simply false right now. Bama has separated themselves from the rest of the pack, they have done it for a number of years, and the result is a roster with an incredible depth of size and talent. Bama has money, tradition, glamour, inside influence, and Saban. It is a perfect storm that is unprecedented.
But listen - nothing lasts forever, and this won't either. Meanwhile, the immature little punks on this board want to tear the whole program down in their selfish, childish rage. It's disgusting, but not surprising, given the prevailing level of intelligence in Louisiana.

Second paragraph where you said "LSU recruits itself" - the delusion continues. You kids may learn in the next few years what it is like when the recruiting Locusts invade the State every year from all over the country and leave mostly scraps behind. It is a big world out there, and there happen to be better places for a kid to plan a future than Louisiana. Add in a mean, stupid fan base and it is much harder than you think to keep recruits at home. It doesn't just happen.

The physical talent gap is obvious, and will widen, not just with Bama, but OM, AU, ATM etc. Good night. It's over. Bye.

LOL. The game was over when Copeland fumbled. Up against too much talent.
Bama will rule until Saban is gone. Do you realize how's my blue chip recruits they have out there? Unfair. They will have more from LA after this year.
