What do other coaches have to gain by saying that A&M has the most money to throw around? That is basically recruiting on behalf of A&M. Maybe Lane would do it to just push buttons but I can't see why anyone would say "If you are a great recruit and want to be paid, A&M is where you go... we can't pay that much"

So you're saying your coaches didn't work that hard in the years prior. And that they and you never worked that hard at any of their previous coaching stops as well. Because suddenly the year the NIL starts and you're the football team at a school thats well known to have one of it not the wealthiest boosters in history. You just coincidentally produce the top ranked recruiting class in the history of college football. Seems completely plausible skipper.
