This Australian Newspaper's Serena Williams U.S. Open Cartoon Upsetting People

Yep, I have no idea where the artist got this depiction. The clothes are wrong, the hair is wrong, the facial features are wrong, the skin tone is wrong. Just clearly out of line. LINK LINK LINK I mean, Serena's lips are so uncharacteristically small and her nose is so Anglican in description. Her lip color is nowhere near the color of her tongue as the artist represents. And in no way does she look so wide, thick, or masculine, in real photos. Shame on this cartoonist for practicing more artistic realism in his portrayal of Serena.

As a white male I totally understand where this article is coming from. I mean just the other day a co-worker offered me some saltine crackers with my lunch. I know what he was trying to say! Racism is everywhere man! I'm tired of it.

Serena Williams in her little tutu's looks like one of the hippos from Fantasia...and this is not racist in the least....its ok for the media to stereotype white people or make them look "uncool" or dorky or create satires about white stereotypes but this editorial cartoon of this buffoon throwing a tantrum is suddenly racist....please, this is ridiculous, all editorials are over exaggerated depictions of their subjects, regardless of their gender, race, species etc....some people just want everything to be racist, it is becoming ludicrous

So its ok and not racist when editorials draw drastically exaggerated cartoons of white people but not other races? How is this racism...oh wait its not!!!!

Maybe it's just "her?" testosterone spilling over when she came unglued with the umpire. She obviously didn't mean to do anything wrong so blame it on hormones. And her coach was only scratching his head, not sending illegal coaching - but it's OK for her to cheat - she's privileged.

Ok if thats racist then the new snickers commercial showing a rapper struggling in a rap battle is a gay white man (Elton John) until he takes a bite of a snickers bar? Then he is able to flush the guy! Hmmmm?

This cartoon is clearly wrong. It depicts her as a NG when she is clearly a LB. Also, are our SJW's in charge of Oz now?

Well it's clear that this racist depiction of the greatest female athlete of all time is not upsetting the commenters on tigerdroppings at all. The racism flows so easily that you wouldn't know that majority of athletes at LSU are black. Plus the misogyny of commenters is pitiful. But it's so obvious that's what tigerdroppings wants. Hardly any posts about female athlete accomplishments. And the overwhelming amount of posts about women are of them scantily clad or their worth defined by what man they are with. It seems that the admin here doesn't care that African American or women sport fans read tigerdroppings.
