What's The Best SEC Football Game Verne Lundquist Has Ever Seen?
© Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports
On Thursday, veteran CBS play-by-play Verne Lundquist took some time from quarantining to reveal the best SEC football game he had ever seen. Per AL.com...
quote:

“Then, we had the Chris Davis return of a missed field goal 109 yards. That whole game was No. 1 vs. No. 4. It is the most bitter rivalry in all of college athletics, in my view. I know Ohio State and Michigan argue their case, so does Texas-Oklahoma and USC-UCLA out west. There is nothing compared to the passion for Alabama and Auburn.”

I imagine even the haters would love nothing more than Gary and Verne calling an actual on time LSU football game this year.

I don’t know why all the hate, I liked Verne. Best college game he ever worked was the '07 Florida game.

At least he didn’t pull a Don Criqui and call Kevin Faulk “Marshall” in Kevin’s final collegiate game.

Verne is a poetic savant compared to the diarrhea that spews from Gary Danielson’s yapper.

From listening to him through the years I was under the impression he’d never seen a game.

I'm just glad I don't have to listen to him mispronounce player's names anymore.

Verne's neck against Verne's tie is the best rivalry in all of CFB.

His real favorite is and always has been the Alabama Spring Game. You have Alabama on both sides of the ball and his favorite coach on the field the whole time. He gets off on that shite.
