The Ole Miss Rebels fell five spots in the CFP Rankings on Tuesday and out of the projected 12-team bracket after the letdown loss to Florida last week.

During his weekly radio show on Wednesday, head coach Lane Kiffin talked about the Rebels' playoff chances and took some shots at the Big 12, ACC, and Clemson. Per On3:
quote:

“We need to play really well, first off. That’s what’s in our control,” Kiffin said on his radio show Wednesday night. “And other things to happen. I’m not gonna get into the whole thing. And I’m not saying because of us. It’s ridiculous, the difference of playing in the SEC and the ACC and Big 12. To see these rankings – I’m not even doing the Ole Miss homer thing.

“To think that you’re looking at schools and you’re talking about, like, Clemson’s schedule and who they played over Alabama. It’s stupid. … I’m not gonna name them. Take some of those teams that are up there that haven’t played anybody and put them down in the SEC, they’re .500 teams.”

Hey Lane,

Don't lose to a 4-7 Kentucky, 6-5 Florida and 7-4 LSU and you don't have to worry about anybody else getting in.

yeah take a look at Miami, Clemson, Indiana, ND , Penn St. All these teams would be middle of the Pack SEC teams . Hell could probably add OH ST.

sec messed up allowing 12 teams into the playoff with the revolving door or new playoff committee people they are never consistent. Last year they saw that the sec was a much better conference which got Bama in over FSU. Right now there is zero incentive to schedule good teams ooc or go to 9 games in conference.

We will know when the CFP starts whether the "commitee" is being honest. If SEC teams are pitted against one another in the bracket prior to the finals, the gig is up. Otherwise, expect 2 SEC teams in the finals.

Get used to it.

Ole miss would be 8-4 in the big 12. If they can lose to Kentucky there are 8 teams they could lose to in the big12.
