Why? OM appears to be chugging along just fine with Laney in BR. Or we guess he's in BR. Since he left the bowl game early who knows where he might be.

It makes perfects sense baw. Without QB1 getting injured and Chambliss stepping in, OM is 6-6 or 7-5. Book it.
Here's what I know:

Much like Aggie in 2012 and apparently having no idea what they had with Manziel, the OM starting QB had to get hurt, only to be Wally Pipped by probably the most dynamic QB in the game today. If that had not happened, OM would be at home with a 7-5, 6-6 record and Lane would still be at OM and the average coach he has shown himself to be.

This has really got you LSU baws in a tizzy.

Nah, as bad as I despise both, I'd be an Aggie or 'Horn before a Rebel/Black Bear/Land Shark.

Has LSU bought a pig in a poke

Think it's a legit question. OM, without LSU's boy Lane, beat Tulane about as badly without Kiffin as they did with. BUT, instead of a second half choke job in the rematch, beat UGA which Lane failed to do.

So again, is Lane really "all that" or is Pete Golding as good, or better, than Lane?

I posted something similar to this nearly a year ago. These guys are now professional athletes, i.e. they are paid to play.

Let's take a guy like Pavia who is a VERY good college FB player but not good enough for the NFL or even the CFL. There are teams willing to pay him half a mil a year to play CFB. What's to keep him from playing 7,8, even 10 years? These guys transfer mid year, often more than once. How many credits are they taking with them? Are the credits even accepted or transferrable to their new landing spot?

What if they don't go to class? Why should they? I guess CFB will survive but we all need to recognize it for what it is and that's the equivalent of minor league baseball.

re: Old pics of SEC stadiums

Until the late 80s or early 90s Arkansas played most "home" games in Little Rock at Memorial Stadium. Somehow the word "war" got attached but the official name is Memorial Stadium.

Anyway, Razorback Stadium didn't have lights until the 80s. The first night game played in the stadium was under temporary lights. I was there and it was horrible.

By the early 90s Memorial Stadium (opened in 1948) had become severely dated and Frank Broyles realized Razorback Stadium was going to require a complete makeover as Arkansas transitioned to the SEC. Little Rock games were reduced and now appear to be a thing of the past, though there is talk of possibly playing Arkansas State on occasion.

Went to many games in the LR stadium and saw some great ones. Saw Arkansas beat Southern Cal and Anthony Davis in 1974. Beat an undefeated aTm team 31-6 in 1975 to win the SWC championship. Went on to beat Georgia 31-10 in the '76 Cotton Bowl. Beat an undefeated Houston and Heisman winner Andre Ware in 89.

But one of the best was the last SWC game against Texas in 91. Arkansas was in the doldrums after Ken Hatfield left and Frank hired Jack Crowe. Arkansas led most of the game and Texas score a late TD to make it 14-13. Texas kicker missed the PAT and Arkansas hung on as they exited the SWC.
Tell us you are a Bama mouth breather without telling us you're a Bama mouth breather. Indiana ain't known for spuds you dumb arse.

Is it live, or is it Memorex?

For those of us old enough to remember those commercials, one could ask the same question about Kiffin and Ole Miss. No difference in the results against the same opponent without the "genius" of Kiffin's coaching.

So coaching, or Jimmies and Joes?

Oh, I watched. Just like I watched that impressive offensive output yesterday.

re: Aggie CFP record!

Aggie is historically a 7-5, 8-4 team. They were three plays away from being 8-4 this year:

Arkansas 45-42
Auburn 16-10
South Carolina 31-30, this after SC led 30-3 at half

Scored with 13 seconds left in the game against ND to pull out another one point win.

So they were 4 plays away from being 7-5.

Outside of ND, they played Texas and got smoked. Their conference schedule consisted of teams with a cumulative record of 18-46. Take out Texas (the only team with a winning conference record at 6-2) and it's 12-44. And three of those were one score games.

They were a fraud and once they played somebody with a pulse (Texas and Miami) they lost.

They would be at least 104 years of age.

OSU and Indiana are undefeated, should one get blown out this weekend, they should plummet. Close loss will keep them in top 4.

If that happens and the loser drops, more fuel to the fire to do away with CCGs. Nothing to gain and everything to lose.

Besides that, CCGs kinda lost their luster, for me anyway, when the conferences did away with divisions.

You eked out wins over the 13th (Auburn 16-10), 15th (SC 31-30) and 16th (Arkansas 45-42) ranked SEC teams and got horse whipped by Texas. Be thankful 1) you are even in the CFP and 2) you get a home game.

Two teams with one conference win each and one with zero.

This coming from a perennial 8&4 program. And three plays away this year from being...8&4.

STFU.
We heard over and over the money guys were getting together to make a splash hire kinda like Calipari. Well, a frog and elephant both generate a splash when they hit the water. Arkansas got the frog.
Could be another Dana Altman type deal. But at least Golesh hasn't formally accepted.
Biddy and Rainwater, yes. Rick is a compendium of Razorback football and Razorback sports in general.

Rainwater is one of the most gullible clowns you'll ever meet. Don't know how he has managed to keep his show going for 30+ years.

He has a habit of reading texts cold on the air. Several years ago some guy texted and the text was about some female tennis player, don't remember which one but obviously she was one of the top 2-3. The text read "Female tennis player out of Wimbledon next week because of a stretched hymen." Rainwater's response was "Well, that's not good."

Shaeffer was choking all over himself to change the subject.

You do know Sam was a Mizzou grad, daughter Alice, from what one can gather, is out there in the art world and apparently gives not a damn about Arkansas athletics. One of the sons owns part or all of the Broncos so that's apparently where his money goes.

Just because Wal Mart is headquartered in NWA doesn't spell crap. Warren Buffett lives in Omaha. Does he pour money into the Nebraska program? I don't know but their performance over the last 10-12 years has been on par with Arkansas.
Dude,

Have you seen Arkansas' women's basketball program the last few years? They might lose to a middling high school team. Not really in a position to poke fun at anybody's women's team.
