During this Monday’s edition of the “Nonstop” podcast, ESPN analysts Joey Galloway and Kirk Herbstreit discussed the Group of Five’s outlook for the CFP moving forward...
quote:

“Let them have their own championship 16-team Playoff,” Herbstreit said, via On3. “We celebrate it, we televise it, we hype it. If one of them qualifies to get into the (CFP), then you put them in. The rest of the teams have their own Playoff.”

How about making college football actually college football again? No preferential treatment for athletes. Get admitted like regular student.

When was that? 1886? Newsflash, football players have gotten preferential treatment since ND was winning titles in 20s.

I said the same thing a week ago. Make the G5 like the NIT in basketball.

Not the same as NIT. There are SEC teams that play in NIT.

How about a couple of +1 games? 14 team playoff, G5 gets a spot or two. This year, could have been Notre Dame vs Tulane and Texas vs JMU
