I like historic myself. Santa Fe, Taos are nice places to check out. I'm planning a WWI battlefield tour for next summer in France and Belgium, hopefully a civil war tour in the States the next year.
Bend Oregon is a nice place if you like smaller cities with a lot of natural stuff to do.

Understandable I’d that is not your thing.

The names change, the food isn't much different from place to place.
That’s not correct at all.
You keep stating your preference, which is fine. But then follow it up with generic, incorrect statements. Like the food is not much different or every city is the same.

I mean, it's not too far from the truth for someone that's not a foodie. There are cajun restaurants all over the country these days, and while the vast majority of them will pale in comparison to what one could get in Louisiana, someone that's not a foodie won't really care. Most major cities can get seafood they couldn't get 20 years ago, so the appeal of seafood in Seattle or Boston isn't that great to that same group. Authentic street tacos were unheard of here in Birmingham 15 years ago, but taco trucks are everywhere now.
Food is always going to be better closer to its source, but non-foodies don't really care, and every major city is going to have nice dining options.

Big cities, probably Boston. Has a lot of interesting sites. Fenway Park, Nickerson (Braves) Field, the Freedom Trail, the Bull and Finch (inspiration for Cheers), Cheers (newer bar copied from the show).
But I'm getting to the point where I prefer open space and smaller towns. Hoping to visit Tupelo at some point.

I've only been to Chicago during the pandemic shutdown, so I feel like I can't say I've been there. That would be #1.
Nashville would be the second if I don't count Chicago. Everyone says it's a blast.

I never want to visit a city. I want to visit the places no one has ever heard of.

We just visited Denver. That was pretty cool. We spent more time in the mountains than we did in the city though.
Our next one is Chicago. We want some real deep dish pizza and to see a Cubs game at Wrigley

I've never been to Minneapolis but I may not go this year.
I was in Minneapolis this past weekend. It was fine. Downtown was pretty boarded up / fenced, but no one spends much time down there, anyway. I stayed at a buddy's place in North Loop. We went to the Twins on Thursday and Modist afterwards. We spent all day Friday biking to breweries (i.e. Fair State, Indeed, Bauhaus, Falling Knife) in Northeast. On Saturday, we hung out at Modist for their anniversary party before going to Graze for rest of the day. It was packed on their lawn and rooftop. Ended the evening at Pryes along the Mississippi. Weather was great all weekend (sunny and 50s).
There were scattered protests in South Minneapolis and Brooklyn Center, but most are miles from where visitors are likely to be. In general, National Guardsmen walk around, but at the time, seemed more precautionary.
I've always maintained MSP is my favorite place to visit during the summer months. I would recommend going.

San Diego.
Would love to spend 4-5 days, catch a Padres game, spend some time on the beach.
Had plans to go last summer before Covid wrecked that

Seen most of the big (i.e. major league) cities in America... only ones left I really want to spend some time in and get a feel for are Denver (have only spent the night in an airport hotel there once) and maybe a weekend in Kansas City (I know, it seems boring, but I could spend a good weekend eating KC BBQ, checking out a Royals game, the WWI museum, Country Club Plaza, Indian Scout statue, maybe an MLS game).
Maybe Cincinnati.
Not in the US, but I would really like to see Montreal and Toronto.
The remaining big-league cities I've not been in--Cleveland, Oklahoma City, Buffalo, Indianapolis, Columbus (Ohio), Sacramento, and actually even Las Vegas, have little to no interest to me.
