Leaving Wednesday out of Seattle. Stops at Ketchikan, Skagway, Juneau, Icy Strait Point, Victoria. Also, sail around Glacier Bay. Looking forward to it. Renting a car in Juneau and doing Mendenhall Glacier on our own, taking train ride in Skagway, walking around Ketichikan, nothing for Icy Strait yet.

Icy Strait is a disappointment.
Except the zip line. That was great.

Def hike to falls at base of mendenhal glacier. Do as many whale watching excursions as you can. The country lends itself to being seen from the water. Glacier Bay was a highlight for us. Your stop in Victoria will be at night so I would suggest a nice walk to the waterfront as try to get a drink at the Empress . Have fun and hope the weather cooperates

Haines- sign up for the Twilight wildlife watch by raft.
Bus will take you to the river , the eagle preserve.. when it parks, MAKE SURE you go stand by the raft furthest downstream in the line up of them on the bank. That'll be the 1st one to shove off, with the other rafts following. Saw many bears, wolves, moose, and other animals(they scrammed when spotting us). Trailing rafts didn't see much if any of them. Saw literally a couple hundred eagles, many catching salmon; floated within 15 feet of some standing on gravel bars, standing their ground with salmon at their feet. The juveniles flew back a distance, but the adults didn't budge as we drifted by.The close ones spreading their wings and posing a fierce profile at us. PRICELESS

We did northbound from Vancouver to Seward on Celebrity in 2022. We liked it so much we booked again for June 2024.

- Is a helicopter tour worth the $$$?

I can’t answer this directly. We extended our vacation after the cruise and drove up to Talkeetna. We did a flight seeing tour around Denali with glacier landing. 100% worth it. I don’t know about the helicopter rides.

100% go northbound. Scenery gets better and better the further north you go. We started in Vancouver and ended in Seward. 100% recommend the fjord tours in Seward. One of the highlights of our vacation.

- As far as cruise lines go we don't really care about top shelf food or drink, but want to make sure we have the best itinerary. Is they a particular one that is better than others?

Can’t speak for any other cruise line but celebrity was top notch from food to service. No complaints at all.
