Pulling a trailer from Baton Rouge Louisiana to Louisville Kentucky. There are two options:
1) up i55 through Memphis, catch i40 to Nashville, then i65 to Louisville OR
2) i59 through Alabama to i20 to Birmingham to i65 to Louisville.
Which is the flatter/easier drive in your opinion?
Thanks!

The straight shot up the entirety of MS should be a Breeze as it’a pretty flat and now with the bypass you don’t have to go through Memphis anymore and can hit that and get onto I-40. That will save you a bunch of hassle

I haven’t driven 55 in years but that’s how I’d go between those options.
Edited to add that 40 sucks so I’m actually not sure. Interesting question.

Not a fan of I-65 south of Nashville. I’d go with #1.

Actually moved my son up to Louisville pulling a double axle UHaul trailer from Nola about 9 months ago. Left about 7pm, took I-59 and stayed in Meridian. Left at 7am, got on I-65 in Birmingham, straight up through Nashville and got to his place about 3pm. Not a bad trip at all. Pass cool sites like the rocket Huntsville and the Corvette museum in Bowling Green. Not a bad ride at all.

I prefer the route through Alabama on 59. I-55 in Mississippi drags on 4eva

I-59 to I-65 for sure. I-40 out of Memphis will beat you to death

I’d go I59. Very uncrowded, especially before it joins with 20. Even then it isn’t bad. And I65 from B’ham to Nashville is fine.
