re: What do you see?
quote:

Will be there this Saturday competing in this race. Couldn't be more stoked.

Was happy to see that Standhope was still happening. That one is on my wife's "to do" list. I have a lot of friends that do RPI and were bummed that it was cancelled this year. These cancellations seem so arbitrary (whether in ID, UT, CO, or here in AZ), with some races still happening and others being cancelled.

We just got back from another trip to Sun Valley and can't wait to go back again. I think for our next trip I am going to try to head up 21 to Stanley and then do a trip up 55 to McCall. Looks like there is a lot of good fishing, hiking, and outdoor activities. And nice job on the Golden Trout and the ink. We hiked to an alpine lake - the drive in on a jeep road was worse than the hike - and got into some nice Westslope Cutties. Fished a couple creeks hard that were supposed to have Redbands, but all I got into was some wild Brookies and Bows.

Heading up Trail Creek Summit

re: What do you see?
Friday:
Work -- 5:30am - 12:30pm
Leave for camp in Garnet Canyon -- 5:00pm
Sleep under stars below the Grand Teton -- 9:30pm

Saturday:
Wake up at camp -- 4:00am
Lower saddle -- 5:00am
Base of the Lower Exum Ridge -- 6:30am
Top of Lower Exum/bottom of Upper Exum -- 10:45am
Summit of the Grand Teton -- 1:30pm
Back to camp -- 4:30pm
Back to the car -- 7:15pm

Sunday:
Back to work -- 5:15am

41 hours between getting off work on Friday and going back on Sunday. When you only have one day off a week, it pays to have this playground in your backyard. Feels good to knock off one of the 50 Classic Climbs of North America.

Happy to be in the Garnet Canyon meadows when the typical Teton afternoon storm hit -- the rain soon gave way to beautiful light and rainbows

re: What do you see?
I'm actually lucky enough to be employed at the golf course FT year round. The course is a cross country ski track in the winter, and I help run the snowcat that grooms the course.

re: What do you see?
These pretty much suck.. Will post a few more in a bit when I can get on my google photos account.

I am stocking up on salmon this week and if the weather holds I am going uplake this weekend to stock up on berries and hopefully get some bear meat. Pretty spectacular place, but I mainly have videos of that area and not photos. Will try to get some photos of the trip and post.

Can’t wait. The beauty many of you see on a daily basis is something I think about often.

re: What do you see?
Guy I work with was going to come in to work late this morning after he ran his net. He just texted. He has 62 salmon and his wife just called telling him she just killed a black bear in the front yard. He was letting me know he wouldn't be in today.

Wake up to the Gulf of Mexico every morning and work on Mobile Bay everyday. I am truly blessed. Loved the water as a kid and now find myself living and working on an Island in Alabama. Best decision in my life was to leave Baton Rouge.
