I mean is there no place else besides lower NM? Plus why would I want to go near Juarez? I'm not allergic to Mexicans, I eat their food all the time.

And no Air BnB, company is shite and the owners put cameras in houses.

For a quick, convenient, fun trip - have you considered Palo Duro Canyon? 20min from Amarillo.

You could hike all day in a fantastic landscape, then have dinner in town. Once you’re there, very little driving.

Also love the Jasper, AR idea. Hike any of the popular Buffalo River trails. Weather can be iffy in March.

Thanks for the suggestions. No I haven’t considered it but will look into it.

Seconded. Sedona has a ton of scenic hikes, some top-notch dining and an easy drive from Phoenix and proximity to Flagstaff (awesome town with great hiking) and the Grand Canyon.

Came here to say this! It’s 30 mins from some of the best hikes in the Ozarks. Also not far from mulberry mountain atv rentals. Riding those through the Ozarks really allows you to stretch your footprint and see a ton.

I always enjoyed being in North Georgia in March and meeting people starting their through hike on the AT. Go south to north so you meet more of the hikers.
