That’s far from Venezuela. They’d have to cross four international borders by land.

By land that might as well be Canada. There are nearly impassable areas between those countries.

They are very remote islands no vehicles you walk or ride bikes everywhere. Mostly eco hotels but a few nice resorts as well. Great beaches and bioluminesent algae in the back bay.
I just liked how they were a total escape from mostly all civilization. The boat ride was pretty rougj though.

Thank you for the input.

The legal prostitution is well-known. The "girls" are friendly, and are just trying to get by, from my limited conversations.

The street vendors are relentless. "Bracelette, coffee, cocaina?" But I think NOLA made me resistant.

Tegus or SPS? Either one is no bueno, no matter what Delta Force and the 160th are doing nearby.

Yes the street walkers were aggressive. They come up to you and grab you down there and look you in the eye and ask for $200,000 ($50 usd).
My first two nights i was in the heart of three red light area of the walled city. It was crazy.

Good luck. I was in Catagena 20 years ago and local told me not to visit Bogota.
