About to head to the airport to head home and wanted to share a few things.
1. We got here Friday night and stayed til Wednesday. I think it was 1 day too many. Monday was a blast for us and was ready to call it a trip Tuesday.

2. A lot of the food was disappointing. My favorite meals on the trip however was Din Tai Fung and Mon Ami Gabi (Game day breakfast)

3. We did the Mob Museum, Haunted Museum and Penn & Teller. I recommend all 3. P&T called several audience members on stage including my son. He had to choose a balloon with a card in it. He chose purple and Penn asked him why. He said because LSU. Lol

4. Allegiant stadium is nice. The walk there was hot but not bad. The walk back was a cluster F. I guess it would've been better had we won.

5. The Venetian/Palazzo is still my favorite hotel/casino. We stayed at Park MGM and were disappointed. Eataly was ok and the Tram access was good. Caesar's and Bellagio are still great. Flamingo is absolute dump. Paris is ok. NY NY is cool when you first walk in but that's it.

Interested in what disappointed you with Park MGM. Understandable if you were holding it to the same standards as Venetian and higher tier hotels, but for its mid-tier status, I think it does well. Good price, location, non-smoking, relatively clean rooms, a couple of the better restaurants in the vicinity. I'm confused by those that give higher marks to NYNY than Park MGM. Maybe I am higher on it because I don't spend a ton of time there during the day, but use it more as a quiet place to return and wind down at night.

I agree with you on LV food. What makes it most disappointing to me is the cost/benefit is generally not there. I usually feel like I would haven just eaten something spectacular after paying when the food is just average.

Outside of Eataly I thought Park MGM was boring. Plus our room needed a serious upgrade. The tram and proximity to the stadium was nice.

This would have been a great vacation had we won the football game. (Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?).

Stayed at the Venetian. Loved the hotel and the room was a big suite overlooking the pool with the mountains as a backdrop. Spent plenty time on the pool deck. Dry heat felt good out there.

Nothing cheap in Vegas anymore. We were eating at top notch restaurants every night.
Piero’s
Milos Greek seafood restaurant
Spago on the terrace
Bouchon

High menu prices and 3.5 or close to 4 times mark up on wine prices. But meals we excellent.

Vegas is always fun.

Fair enough. I tend to spend most of my time at Aria casino when staying at Park MGM anyway, as it is so close.

The food was great. Went to the two places you mentioned, plus Carbone and momofuku.

Not impressed with the stadium at all. Boring and completely forgettable. They had an opportunity to have bars, gambling, Sportsbooks, etc. in the stadium. But didn’t. Standing in line for the bathroom was the most memorable part of the stadium.

we stayed at park mgm as well and it was as expected. room was large, but dated and had that look like a magic show was about to happen....but i knew it wasn't the Venetian. Eataly, something our travel agent raved about, was a dud for sure. i mean, it was ok, but to sell someone on that is quite the stretch. the king suite with a 'strip view' was overlooking the strip, from about 300 yards back behind how the casino\shops inside were setup. so yes, its a view, but its not a view of the strip like you'd think.

We tried a pizza and a sandwich and it was just ok.

I didn’t dine at any of the higher end restaurants as most of you. I made it a point to find the relatively inexpensive restaurants that had good food. I ate brunch several times at Oceans One in the Miracle Mile Shops and it was great! I also ate at Hash House A Go Go and, though not inexpensive, was very good and the portions were large! I also ate at Favorite Bistro on the Linq Promenade for dinner one evening, lunch at La Salsa Cantina and had a couple slices of pizza from Evel Pie on Fremont Street! I don’t think I had a bad dining experience and would highly recommend all of them especially Oceans One, Favorite Bistro and Evel Pie.

Disagree about Park MGM. We stayed there earlier this year and really liked it. Clean, no smoke, pretty good location on the strip. We felt like it was a great starting point for days on the strip and less rambunctious when we were ready to settle down.

As for Eataly, I agree, it's nothing special. But I also realize it is a chain and we didn't waste any meals there other than some snacks and breakfast sandwiches, which were actually solid.

Curious what other restaurants you weren't impressed by.

We had Beer Park Saturday night and it was just ok. We had the Pizza place in Eataly after the game Sunday and again it was ok. Din Tai Fung Monday night was our favorite meal of the trip. Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill Tuesday night was solid. The sticky toffee pudding is awesome.
We also had Eggslut Monday morning. It was ok as well. That place is way over hyped.

Beer Park is a good place to watch games and drink beer, but wouldn’t expect anything more than bar food.

Park MGM is a decent place and it has one of my favorite restaurants- Best Friend. Agree that the rooms are basic. Great location if you’re going to T-Mobile.
